HEY GUYS
SOME OF YOU MAY KNOW I SCORED A BEAUTIFUL REAL 18INCH LAMSON OFF JC A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. I AM GOING TO HAVE THIS MOUNTED ON ONE OF JC’S KNIFE STANDS, & PUT IN A DISPLAY CASE I AM GOING TO HAVE MADE.
DO ANY OF YOU GUYS KNOW THE HISTORY OF THE LAMSON KNIFE AND HOW IT CAME TO BE USED IN HALLOWEEN, AS I WANT TO PUT IN THE CASE A LITTLE HISTORY PLATE ABOUT THE KNIFE. I HAVE SEARCHED THE FORUM BUT CANT FIND ANYTHING REALLY SO IF ANY OF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY INFO ON THE LAMSON I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.
THANKS
LEE
That knife is insane Lee.Absolutely insane.I remember when JC first got it and showed it here.
Now,as far as the Lamson,I am no expert but I believe that it is not a Lamson that was used in the film for certain. Some people think it may have been a Dexter or they may have used different brands.Heck,it could have been a Lamson,a Dexter and another type, since there were different knives used.It could be random.I personally own 2 Dexter’s and one Lamson and I prefer the Dexter’s actually. With that said, the Lamson is a gorgeous knife as well.
I am sure there are plenty of members that have more info than I provided.
Good luck buddy!!!
THANKS RANDY, THAT’S A GREAT START.

i have heard lamson & dexter stories also. i own both. each of mine are the 20 inch knives. i am also in the process of building a case for them both.
i read and read and know one seems to know for sure. there are some threads you can search out right5 here on mm.net. so, im decided to do a little zooming in, enhancing and looking at every screen cap that i could and the only thing that convinced me it was a lamson, at least in part of halloween, is that when i zoomed in on the knife i could just barely make out the stamp the lamsons have on the blade, up by the handle, in the shape of the USA. i will see if i can find it out and post it. if anyone knows what i am speaking of and has the pic please post it. it is very blurry but i think personally that it was the lamson. just my two cents.
