It really is pathetic that I have to open a public thread to get any answers from Bry but I think it would be in the best interest of all parties involved in this project financially to speak out. There is no excuse for the poor communication and lack of updates for a project of this expense. 1st class service including monthly detailed updates along with prompt returns to our questions should be a given. We have received NONE of this. I have never in all my collecting life been forced to open a thread to voice my frustration. We were guaranteed an estimated 30 day completion on both masks…and not to exceed the 45 day window that Paypal allows. That was back in March of this year. We still have yet to get a clear reason why the newest retool was necessary nor did we have any say in the matter. I told you Bry I had your back so long as you held to your promise to me that every email would be answered with no more than 1 day from the time it was sent. You did me a favor shipping the proto copy and I appreciated that but in all fairness it took the threat of me contacting my attorney to make that happen. You’re a hard one to figure out Bry because when I do catch your ear you seem like a level headed guy that wants to do the right thing. I’ve been in steady contact with several members on the list and we all have many questions for you that have yet to be answered. You promised us a group chat back in July…never happened. If you’re having problems in your personal life or with the mask project itself you won’t be dragged out and hung by the people on this board by opening up to us. We have a very understanding group of people who frequent this site for the most part. Your silence and broken promises are what’s fueling the anger.
Please don’t turn this into an attack thread. I would like this thread hopefully pinned so any new information can be added for the remaining members on the list to see. There is alot of money involved here and I want this to end on a positive note for not only us investors, but Bry as well.
Jon and Jenny, if you have anything to add to this post I would appreciate it.
One thing is for sure,this thread should stay on a positive,informative note.Also,I believe with all of the money a lot of good people have riding here it SHOULD be stickied and updated with ANY info that could help us out here.
I spoke to Bry a few weeks ago and promised I would just ride it out at this point.I started to really feel like I was one of the only HMK guys inquiring about the masks consistently.Even if I was right to be concerned,I did not want to continue to get upset and contact Bryan.
My main concern is that John Medley posted here a few weeks ago and said Bry would be working hard to complete the entire run and have them out before Halloween.There have been no updates proving that statement and nobody else has come forward to say they received their masks.
So,I am completely in the dark as far as when I will ever see my masks.
Would really love an update and I would love to hear a boatload of them will be shipping this week,based on what John Medley said.
I mean Bry no harm or insult by voicing this.I just can’t see a thread about the subject and not tell about what is happening on my end.
I contacted Bry by text this evening after reading this post asking him to please address it directly.
The last email I received from MCS contained this quote " I have time off from my job (two weeks) coming up and I plan on spending that time off solely on getting these out to the guys. So they have them before Halloween." Thats what i have been told and as soon as I know more I will update you guys.
Once again Jenny and I are very sorry for the long wait but it was my decision to go with MCS and I stand by the finished product.
The lack of communication on this project IS atrocious. We were promised a time frame that was within the 45 day PayPal window for issuing refunds or discrepancies.
After Chad received his HMK and pictures started circulating around of the mask being an unwearable 22.5 inches or smaller; buyers have now started getting cold feet. Do you really stand behind this? 22.5 inches knowing that the original 1975 Kirk mask was wearable; 22.5 is unwearable.
The original DPS 75 Kirk is roughly 24 inches around; wearable! I thought this was a recast of the entire DPS 75 Kirk, instead we’re hearing of it only being a cast of the masks face and ears maybe; that could cause the problems with the size issue also as well as what this project actually is or is not or was supposed to be versus what we’re told it is. The original mask was tight/snug fitting at 24 inches, 23.5 inches maybe pushing it but the original mask was wearable and if these are not wearable then compensation should be made to the purchaser.
I believe that someone should come out and tell us what exactly is: the hold up, what we’ve all paid for…exactly and the exact size of these? How many retools have been done to this mask since most of us have paid? Are we getting exactly what we’ve paid for?
To the people who now have our $1,500 or $2000, that is a chunk of change and we purchasers are hoping to have the BEST exact replica made for that kind of money; nothing less should satisfy us.
Another question that needs to be answered is what do we do if we want a full refund instead of the mask because of the 45 day PayPal refund window being ignored.
Much like the people above me, this is not a slam towards anyone but these are basic questions that MANY of the purchasers, including myself have.
So Billy after all these years of saying the Kirk was a small mask sized to fit a child, ur switching gears and saying the 75 Kirks were a large 24"?!?! No f’ing way were the masks 24". Maybe around the OUTSIDE of the mask but when one measures their head on the outside that is to get an idea of fit for the INSIDE of a mask. IF the Kirks were 24" on the outside then maybe I’ll say they were 23.25-23.5" on the INSIDE. These masks fit both Nick and Dick skin tight. Look at the pics of Dick wearing Justin’s Psycho (23.5") and that mask fit Dick somewhat loose. Then take the pic of Dick wearing Jim’s H78 (24" mask) that really looked to fit Dick loose. The 75 DP Kirk, I was going to buy measured 22 7/8" on the INSIDE of the mask.
If Chad’s mask measured 22.5" on the OUTSIDE then yes that’s to small.

Show me how you measure a mask (preferably a blank) by posting a picture and I’ll do the same thing with an HMK blank.
Jim, not for nothing, but if I told you it was 24" and you got a measurement of 22.5"… you’re either measuring it wrong or we’re both measuring it differently. The way I measure a Kirk/Myers mask is by taking a flexible tape measure and measuring around the top of the mask, across the forehead and just above the ears. While your pics of Dick wearing the H78 are definitely cool to see, the H78 (no knock to Nic, he made the mask to fit the general public comfortably) is extremely far from accurate in size when being compared to an original Kirk. If you grabbed Dick by the shoulders and gave him a shake he would literally become a human bobble head wearing your H78. There is absolutely no distortion done to the H78 while he wears it, and I may be mistaken here but I think when Dick wore the hero mask he may have stretched it out just a tad in the horizontal and vertical directions. He’s swimming in the H78.
THE H78 DEFINITELY WAS MADE FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO WEAR & IS EASILY 24 INCHES. THE MR. MURDER IS ABSOLUTELY IN NO WAY 24 INCHES, MY HEAD IS EXACTLY 23.5 AROUND AND I COULD NOT EVEN GET IT OVER MY FOREHEAD. BRY… IF YOU STILL THINK THAT THE MR MURDER IS 24 INCHES LIKE YOU LIED TO ALL OF US CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE ONE, YOUR THE ONE WHO NEEDS A LESSON IN MEASURING. Alright everyone, let’s get this back on track. This thread is about the HMK, nothing else.
Also, I feel I should say something. Although I am not on the HMK list, I feel you (Bryan) should be addressing your paying customers with updates, rather than responding to comments that have no bearing on this situation. I do not think it is fair for these members to have paid a LOT of money & still be in the dark on their orders. Just to clarify, I do not think you are a bad person or a thief Bryan, I just feel you should be on here giving updates to those who need them instead of arguing with members who have NO involvement in this project.
Okay,I will keep this on the track it belongs on but I first want to say thank you to Donnie for pointing out something that struck me immediately when I read Bryan’s post.There was the initial post by Brando1,which addressed basically ALL of the issues with the project.Then there was some solid follow-ups with serious concerns by HMK slot-holders.There were a number of questions asked.Bry,you chose to respond to Jimmy’s post first?Jimmy’s?A guy that did not spend a dime on the HMK project and was just adding his own take on things.This has been a big problem with the communication all along.Even if there is any communication,the direct questions are never answered and the hard facts have NEVER once been presented.
Okay,as far as the size issue,after Bry posted the video of him putting on an HMK blank,I do not want to beat a dead horse.Even if Bry’s head is smaller than the average guys,he proved it is wearable,as long is that blank was from the latest finished batch/retool.Bryan addressed this issue with me a few weeks ago and I do not want to go into it again.However,where are we in the run?Is ANYTHING happening at all?My instincts tell me no…nothing is happening.John Medley’s statement was not even addressed,Bry!!Why would you not confirm or deny what was said, in regards to the statement that you are going to have the entire run complete by Halloween?I seriously doubt that is the case.The shame is,that is something that could have made everyone thrilled.Having their masks by the big day and being able to say “Hey,this was worth every second that I waited!!”.John Medley said you had two free and clear weeks to work on these masks and you were going to be working your rear off to produce results.It is just heartache after heartache with this situation.

Randy, the main concern of this thread (aside from communication) was the size. That’s why I posted what’s above first. That wasn’t directed at Jim, that was to everyone. That’s why I broke up the paragraphs with an entire line. As for communication… Jason (Brando1) sent me an email on Saturday and then opened this thread last night. Like many people, I generally am busy on the weekends and I don’t usually check my email until Monday. Whether it be my work email or my personal email for that matter. While I thought it was kind of jumping the gun for him to start this thread so fast, I am glad that he started it and that it’s stickied. If possible, let’s keep it positive and I’ll try to check this topic as often as I can and reply to whatever is asked.
Just to get back on the size topic… I don’t consider myself to have a small head at all. Though I’m not sure what is considered large/medium/small/etc. Measured around (and I’m measuring my head the same way I would measure a mask… around the forehead and just above my ears) my head is roughly 23". It doesn’t fit me perfectly, but I didn’t intend for it to fit me or anyone else perfectly. I intended it to be roughly the same size as a Kirk.
Okay.I said I would not go into the size again.However,I noticed something that breaks this wide open on the size issue.This finished me…totally blew any desire I had left.
Question:If you have a mask that fits tight or does not fit at all,how can you make it fit?

Nothing could possibly be jumping the gun on our end here.We are getting treated very,very poorly and I don’t think this will end any time soon and has little chance of ending well.
It was actually sent on Fri. Bry and that specific email wasn’t the reason the thread was started. It was started because others on the list including myself have concerns that aren’t being addressed. I was getting tired of the bits of info (true or not true) floating around and think it’s best to have one specific thread for you and the members here on the list to have a place to share valid info or vent frustration. The formula that has been in place since I signed on to this project is broken and has been since day one.
I would like like to get away from the size issue for for minute. Bry, could you please update us as to the status of the orders? Is Halloween still going to happen?
It’s cut up higher than normal, sure. That’s not going to change that much about how the mask fits on your head. Unless it’s a half mask that’s not going to much of anything. If I want it to look the best that it can for me… yeah I’m going to cut the back of the neck up high… many people do that here. How do you think J (gobears) get’s the best pictures out of most of his tighter fitting masks? I can put on one that is cut normal it will pretty much give the same look.
That would be interesting to see,although with the retools at this point,would we even really know what we are looking at copy-wise?
Also,as far as Blake asked…Where are we order-wise?Also,why are you selling the proto in a bidding auction where it will undoubtedly sell WAY low when you posted it for sale here for $2500 just days ago?Sounds like finances are tighter than tight.None of my business except the fact that you have a lot of my money as well as others.Too much bad evidence going on right now.Where are we with the orders?
Also,if it is no big deal that it is cut higher,it’s just a coincidence that you never show the back of the mask in either of the 3-minute long videos?It’s even obvious that when you put it on you are shielding the back from the camera.You hold the face in your hands very carefully.ANYONE can see that.
