Hello all. I’ve been waiting for this mask since November of 2011. The green room must be packed to the ceiling. James and I spent hours on the phone and exchanging movie stills and lobby card pics to get this one just right. H1 all the way with NO weathering (because there wasn’t any) and the perfect dark brown hair with specific hairline as close to the original as possible. And let me tell you what - James delivered! He, like Chris was a little hesitant on the “no weathering” aspect but if you want it dead-on to H1, then this is how it looked. From the first take to the end of the movie, it would have still looked like this. Not like Mikey got stuck in a chimney or was involved in a small nuclear blast, that is all good, but that is H2!
I received this a few days ago and couldn’t be happier. James - You ROCK!!!
Thought I’d snap a few quick pics to share and I’ll take some better ones in costume when I get some time.
And believe me - these do NOT do this mask justice.
Thanks for looking!
Enjoy. - Denny
I partially agree! The Hero was basically white with some flesh peeking through in certain areas. I think there was minor weathering but sometimes I change my opinion on that matter, lol. When my spot comes up I would very much like my H1 to look like your Shat. It is NUTS! James did an amazing job, especially on the eye cuts. Perfection! Congrats man! -Tom
This is absolutely the way a H1 mask should be finished,no question if you ask me.This is honestly perfect.James did a flawless job of creating what I believe to be the perfect replica. The profile shots that show the contrast of the white and flesh do it for me all day long.Sweet pics, man and that one worn shot from James is the money!!Really,I don’t know what else to add besides CONGRATS
Fantastic score and pics, Denny! This is a excellent copy without a doubt… I’m sure it was worth the long wait, because James absolutely killed this one for you… Congrats! …ANDY
Thanks guys. I’m still in awe of this thing. Definitely worth the wait and as accurate as you can get for an H1.
The eye cuts, hairline and color and flesh tones are just outta here.
Thanks James. You killed it!
That’s a really sweet Shat pick-up, dude. I like how it’s next to your 75K. It gives for a nice comparison shot between the two…assuming that’s a 75K, of course. I had a good laugh of the shot of the mask in the mirror. Every time I wear my mask in front of a mirror, I always think of how totally backwards, weird, and different it looks. Lol, now I know it’s not just me. Congrats on the new score, bud.
Just the way it should be in my opinion, letting the light work its’ natural wonder. Coincidentally I just did up a Shat blank myself using the same paint principles (no hair though).
