Like Halloween 2, the new movie would start out right after the end of the second one. They get Laurie in the ambulance and head out. Then some cops/fire fighters go into the hospital to look for more bodies, but they never find Michael. Flash forward to next year (?) It opens to a Halloween store. You can tell everyone seems a little distraught about the thought of the holiday returning. A cop yells at an employee to “Take down those masks, we banned them last year,” camera pans over and it’s a group of excited and in awe kids looking at a shelf with 1 or 2 of the 1975 converted Kirks with extremely ridiculous prices and a handwritten sign that says “Myers Mask! Banned! Super rare!” Or something along the lines. We then see the employee carrying a trash bag over his shoulder, walking towards a dumpster after closing the store. As he walks out, he looks at the calendar and realizes that it is the 30th. A pale look goes over his face and he hesitates to go out the back door. He opens it, and carefully walks towards the dumpster. Now would be a good scene for a jumpscare with Michael bursting out of nowhere, you can see his burnt hands and the previous mask’s charred hair still stuck on his head. He kills the employee and opens the garbage bag. The mask is sitting right on top. He lifts it up, the camera is now behind Michael’s crispy head, and he puts it on. The screen goes black and we get the classic theme and opening credits. How does that sound? How would you guys want it to start?
Tl;dr Michael survived the hospital fire, kills a halloween shop employee and steals another mask back
Not bad! I definitely like the idea of it continuing right from H2.

Not too bad, but a jumpscare is too cliche, I’d like to see it be the silhouette of Myers under a street light, the employee walks outside and then Myers follows him before either smacking the employee’s head into the dumpster causing his skull to crack open, then he takes the bag of masks back into a spot that has a mirror, very low lighting and he tries on different masks, which would be the original choices for the first film and he wears the Emmett Kelly Mask for a few kills while having the rest stored somewhere that he knows to grab them, he would get the Kirk afterwards and instead of it being the iconic white face, it would just be half converted
