I bought a 98 Proto recently. If you’re buying one directly from NAG, you’d likely be looking around 500 USD or even more depending on what you’re looking for.
The price really depends on if you want the mask finished by Nikos himself or if you want to buy a blank to be sent off to another artist, in which case you’ll have to pay the artist for their work as well.
It’s best to ask Nikos directly on IG or Facebook about his prices.

Going direct you can get exactly what you want in terms of mask size and mask thickness (often overlooked). My first proto was 2nd hand, lets you see the finish before committing, just make sure it’s in good condition.
As others have said it then comes down to blank sent to someone else for finish vs getting Nikos to finish for you.
A blank thick pull proto will be in the $350 ballpark. Not cheap but at the end of the day it’s a non-retooled direct lineage mask that it’s too far removed.

If you’re looking to save some money but willing to take the sacrifice of a smaller mask (I think, not exactly sure on the size of the 98 Proto) I would actually recommend hitting up Darren Perks for one of his 98/99 blanks for a very similar mask. I’m sure if you asked he would also ship it to an artist of your choice. Just my two cents
