How're you liking your TOTS?

It seems that more and more people are getting their TOTS, so how are you guys liking it? i have heard and seen some heavy weathering on the nose and loose hair, but its mass produced, what can we say,?
But anyways, again howre you liking it and how does it compare to the DP products and Ind. mask makers?

I love mine. As far as the indie masks I have had it compares wry well. The hair isn’t lose on mine in fact I brushed out a bunch of hair when I got it to thin it some. The nose has heavy weathering which is fine. It is not been blended like some masks in the indie market, so it sticks out a lil. It goes from almost a dark black to whit rather quickly. I did a little work with the paint to mine and love its look. The mask is hands down the best mass produced Myers ever. Trick or treat studios masks are top notch some of the nicest masks out there right now.

The sculpt itself is very well done! I love it’s features. The hair is also very good, despite the uber-shedding. As for the paint job, the ONLY complaint I have is that I wish the shaded area of the nose was blended at least to some degree. It’s a very harsh transition, as the above poster mentioned.

Bottom line is that this mask is not only the absolute best of the mass-produced masks, but I would have actually payed more than it’s asking price.

i have waited since 1981 for stores to carry the mask like it looked in the movies, so now that i’m old I still get a thrill seeing this mask finally out there. Hopefully this starts a trend. Cheaper, better looking masks for kids and men that want that kirk look. Thumbs up to Justin and TOTs

Like all of the above, I’m loving it. I need to work on the hair though… that’s really the only downfall and even then, completely fixable. Mine sheds but it almost has too much hair to begin with, If that makes any sense… so it gives you something to work with. More is less, or something like that. A little gel and hairspray and it’ll look ace.

I agree it is almost too much hair. I have brushed mine out and a lot of hair came out. No shedding now and the hair is still pretty thick. But can be matted down a bit easier.

I could not be happier with mine. As a commercial mask, the quality is second to none. It feels more like a privately made mask rather than something anyone can readily purchase. Same minor complaints about the nose and size, but as I said earlier, those are minor issues. Fantastic mask.

For those who have repainted the nose, do you use a mixture of latex and acrylic paint, or just paint? I’d like to blend mine a bit more with some added white and/or flesh tone, but never attempted such a thing.

I mixed flesh tone monster makers paint with different color acrylics. And it seemed to work fine.
