I bought a TOTS H2 years ago. Is it worth trying to overhaul on my own?

I bought the TOTS 2 the year it came out and was available at Spirit Halloween Stores. Since then, I have just recently started to add to my collection. Within the last year I finally bought my first indie mask. A few months ago I bought another one. I bought a display case to display my small mask collection, but the TOTS H2 stands out so much because it just doesn’t look movie accurate. I recently have thought about trying to “weather” it or even try and style the hair to make it look more like the movie.

The problem is, I have never even come close to doing something like this before. I don’t want to send it off for a rehaul because I am still waiting on my TOTS Halloween 2018 rehaul to get done. My fear is what if I ruin the mask and actually make it look worse. I wouldn’t want to end up regretting it since I have owned it for so long. Has anyone ever done an overhaul on a TOTS H2 to make it look more like the Warlock style? How did it come out, and how difficult was it?

I’m actually in your shoes, I have a ToTs H2 deluxe which was my first mask 2 years ago and I’m wanting to rehaul it but am wanting to know more about converting and rehauling masks first

The Lunatic is a great classic piece from NightOwl. The standard TOTS paint job doesn’t do it justice at all. Check out some of the pics of an artist has painted. The mask looks great with even some minimal repainting.
