**_For a VERY long time I have wanted a 1967 Don Post Emmett Kelly mask. Although this mask is Halloween related (due to being brought in alongside the converted 75 Kirk as a possible choice for the star/antagonist of HALLOWEEN) it would be one of my all-time favorite masks even without the connection.
We all pretty much agree that when Carpenter, TLW and Hill picked the converted 75 Kirk over the EK mask they did the right thing. Still yet there is something VERY creepy about the EK mask in its own right! I’m surprised no one ever did a movie with some creepy killer wearing the EK mask.
I’ve always loved the EK and it has consistently been one of those major holes in my collection, until now…
Finally I found this one and I couldn’t be happier! This was cast directly from a 67 EK and the results are stunning, it’s almost like going back in time and buying a brand new one!
Although nothing beats a true original this is definitely the next best thing and certainly serves my purposes well.
_Thanks GetBent7Xs! Although this is indeed cast off a real 67 Don Post, this is a bit of a special situation. I can’t say too much or it would give away who it is but this person has a special connection to Don Post and was able to get two of these only. I couldn’t pass up the chance so I scored the one they had left. It is NOT anyone on here.
Thank you Jake! I am very pleased with it for sure.
I was reading something on the HMA a while back about the description of what they remember the mask to look like made it doubtful it was an Emmett Kelly mask,i know TLW has stated it in documentary to be that “Sad Clown”.
Great score man cannot beat a 67 EK weather a original or cast off a original . There is truely something eerie about the EK’s that not alot of masks had or currently have . DP truely back in the day did a amazing job of capturing the look and feel of the character of Weary Willie . I Have a original vinyl copy with a few small tears in the back and some paint wear and the bottom eyelids trimmed down and even so this one is still making me a little green with envy
