I lie awake and play guitar at night

I’ve been lusting after this guitar since I saw it at the age of 8-9, when the credits ended and the first few notes of Dream Warriors sounded off at the end of NOES 3.

After years of searching (and being financially unobtainable), the day came! It’s not hand carved like the original, so small details are lacking. But to get those would have added a few more thousand dollars and I don’t need them to satisfy the lust. But I got finally got my grail!

What happened to the original hand carved one?

Sorry for the late response.

To my knowledge, and I could be wrong, George Lynch still has the original one J Frogg made him. But Lynch carves them out and sells them himself now on his website.

That’s bad ass. I had no idea Lynch made his own guitars.

Some. He still has signature guitars with ESP. But he’ll occasionally bring out and play some of his own creations. They’re pretty cool but expensive

That’s awesome. I had no idea GL did stuff like that. Versatile guy. I’ll check out his work.

Absolutely feel you on that one—some guitars just stick in your head from childhood like a ghost riff you can’t shake. Dream Warriors at the end of NOES 3? That’s a core memory. And yeah, even if it’s not hand carved, if it scratches that itch and plays well, that’s the win.

I’ve got a similar grail story—finally grabbed mine last year and haven’t stopped noodling since. On another note, when I’m not chasing tones, I’m building with a Mobile-First Approach—got to keep things sharp and responsive for modern users. If you’re curious how that fits into today’s dev world, check this: alternatives to angular.
