I’ve always thought these two death scenes were great.
With Rachel’s death. There was a large amount of suspense built up for it. The fact that it takes place during the day is kinda chilling. It highlights that death could come at any time, even the daytime when you least expect it.
What I really like about Jamie’s death scene is the fact that Michael mocks her as she’s dying. It just makes him a bit more sadistic. It’s also a very suspenseful scene as well.
Also I think it helps that I don’t care about Rachel, or Jamie as characters. Halloween 4, and these two characters have constantly been shoved down my throat, to the point I don’t mind these two characters being killed off unceremoniously. Honestly I don’t like Halloween 4 in general.
H5 has a surprisingly large amount of suspense. I also appreciate that Michael screws with the characters in this movie. That’s one of several aspects of Michael that was absent in H4. I’m glad they brought it back in H5.
Not a big fan of 5 overall but the stalking in the Carruthers house and at Tower farm is some of the creepiest in the series. Easily my favourite part of the film.
