Some copies have been going for as low as $350, I was lucky to snag 3 recently… It’s a strange mask, the latex feels old school, it takes some dedicated stuffing to make it look good displayed… BUT worn is where it’s at, one of my best worn masks, it becomes hero when worn right.
Considering the price these were when they came out, I got a steal.
I found one that’s was apparently converted by Benny harke here on the forums to look like the II mask with the grunge look.
I want it bad but I wanted to verify.
I believe they were around $1500 when they were released. Those masks seemed to have left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths from what I’ve read.

Just make sure you are looking at the original HMK vs one of the retools- H2SM, etc. Those usually go for less $.
They are decent masks but Hoffman flopped on his face trying to replicate the Medley. It looks nothing like that mask. The original price was $1500 for the Kirk and $500 for the Myers add-on option. I paid $2000, waited 2 years and received masks that I honestly didn’t love. Over time, I sold them at a horrifying loss. They are now priced more in the range they belong, like $250- $350 and even that is too high since he has retooled the heck out of them and the H2SM is superior. My advice? Land a blank H2SM cheap and have it done by your favorite mask finisher. Bryan was selling blanks for $60!!! Can you believe that? Retool a mask 4 times over and then sell the best version for $60 a blank and $125 finished after giving 15-20 people pure hell AND charging $1500 originally for an inferior version. If you do decide on the HMK, good luck. Bryan used all sorts of different latex on different copies and some of them are awful. The H2 finished by Benny that you are referring to is actually my old free blank that I was given, along with all of the other HMK buyers as a “sorry” from Bryan for what he did to us. That blank was apparently a decent one, so it’s probably a safe bet. I still say go with the H2SM. It is truly the superior mask. Just don’t buy direct from Bryan as he is on the scammer list here and extremely unreliable. Here’s my H2SM’s finished by Benny H2 style…
Yeah, I believe this is one of the $500 versions refinished by Benny.
The guy said he paid that much.
I’m getting it for less than half that, so I think it’s a good deal for what I saw.
I really like the shape of it myself.
It really reminds me of H2.
Thanks for the info and pics though!
Love the HMK, the detail on the smalls is incredible and I think they make a great myers.
Here’s mine, pictures courtesy of Mike.
Cool man. Looking forward to mine. I went ahead and grabbed it
There are several different versions and prices.
The HMK had a few sizes.
-The original proto didn’t have the detail later versions did and was on the large side.
-There may have been one post-initial proto version that I’m not remembering before the small size HMK’s.
-Then came the small size, the most accurate one. Some were smaller than others due to the type of latex being used, but the smalls are slightly over 11" tall and a hair under 23.4" around the outside of the mask. Some people complained about the small size of some early pulls and others got worried that others were complaining about the size so the mask went back in to a re-tool to make it larger. You can still get smalls from MCS at around $275 a pop, the third party ones are rare, MCS put up one on e-Bay late last year, I bought two from him, and ones from the original run are pretty rare as the run was limited due to the re-tooling.
-Then the mask went into a re-tooling process to make it larger, and with that came huge delays and a weaker overall mask (the detail was still excellent, but the shape was off and a bit flat faced). These pulls were a bit over 24", and MCS (out of respect I guess) didn’t change the price on them, but you can find then up for sale all the time by third parties at around $250-375.
-Some of the HMK’s around (and some blanks) are a medium size just over 23.5" around, these are of a more accurate shape than the large ones. The prices for these are the same as the larger ones.
-The H2SM came next, it’s a re-tool of the HMK to create an H2 style mask. These are around 24-24.5" around, and you can see than for prices ranging from around $130-$350 (depending on the finishing). You can probbaly grab them from MCS for under $200 as his new H2 mask is $185.
-Then came the DCSM 2, this is another HMK re-tool to create a Castle stretch mask. These are a little over 23.5" around, you can probably still grab them from MCS for under $200.
-The latest re-tool is Later That Same Night, it’s another H2 mask with some improvements and differences, they are $185.00 from MCS.
Thanks man, that’s a lot of info!!
I was about to say! it looks a lot like the LTSN mask that everybody was knocking the seller Bryan or whatever. I spoke with him in late Sept. but he hasn’t responded in weeks. He initially suggested I pay half up front, but I told him I’d pay it all when one is ready. I have no idea if he’s going to sell them in time for Halloween or not, so I pulled the trigger on this one.
I love the look of it. I think a H2 style is a lot easier to wear with the dirty look. To get a good H1 mask you need to spend a lot for something that isn’t glossy. Especially the hair. A lot of HMKs seem to have more H1 hair.
This is the mask I bought for $200. The guy said he paid $500 for it inititally. He then had it finished by Benny on these forums
I think it’s a good likeness:
I was having a difficult time contacting him (as I bought 2 more HMK smalls from him and some eyes to fix masks with bad eye cuts), but recently got a return e-mail where he said that he wasn’t receiving e-mails at his usual address and to use another address (I’ll PM it to you).
I’ll send you a size comparison pic of the 3 different HMK sizes as well. If you want to see what a DCSM 2 or H2SM look Like I’ll shoot you pics of them as well.
Sure man.
