Damn, that would be a tough pill to swallow, giving up your presentation credit just to stroke the ego of the financier. I would not have been so gracious, or ass-kissy. Irwin is a bigger man than I.
Had it been me, it would have read:
Irwin Yablans Presents
In association with blah blah who cares money guy…

Yup…that is the credit and the film stock. It hasn’t ever been seen by anyone since the initial screening with Moustapha and Irwin in 1978. I can’t believe it was in the boxes. Needle in a haystack. To me, that alone means the most out of all of the footage.
That’s nuts! I don’t know, there’s just something about seeing the title “MOUSTAPHA AKKAD Presents” that, aesthetically just looks better than “IRWIN YABLANS Presents”. Yablans of course deserved the credit more, but I don’t know! I’m torn!
