I will make the petition and hope for the best everybody, I’ll make a link sometime soon, again thanks to everybody for being a part of this and it goes to show that us fans are the reason this series is rolling and we all have different perspectives and opinions on each movie
Decent point about who Michael Myers is and what he stands for, but talking about the canons is also what keeps us here and makes us enthralled about Michael Myers and the series, sure there are going to be the over analyzers, but the story and the characters and the different timelines are another interesting thing about the series, it gives the viewer options on how they like Michael ( it all comes back to him ), but I have a problem when some clause in the contract, don’t get me wrong I love Michael and think he is the embodiment of pure evil and thatcis what is so cool about him, but when you have a movie that makes a definitive ending, it should stay that way, ended, anyway thank you very much for being part of this article, you and many others are why the series is alive
Is “Canon” suppose to mean something, here? Is this a new term to describe something?? Just asking. Kind of like, “Meta”. I hear that word, being used alot lately.
Canon here means something like “definitive” or “official”. Canonical also implies a high level of quality. Some would say the canon is exclusively H1, because JC invented Halloween and intended for no sequels…thus all the others are in some way apocryphal. Some would say H2 is included as well because of how it continues where 1 left off and has the same actors and characters for the most part and also has many fans. And so on…
I haven’t seen Halloween 4 in a while. BTW what scene is the unfinished Kirk shown in? Is it a Don Post 75 Kirk?
BTW, My favorite ‘timeline’ is: H1, H2, H:20. Halloween 1(1978) is the best in my opinion and the story could have ended here. However I really like Halloween 2 and like Dick Warlock’s take on Michael. H2 had a very close look to H1 and most of the actors. I also really like H:20 despite it’s more modern (Scream-like) take on the series. It was made in 1998 so it couldn’t have looked exactly like H1 and H2. I feel that Chris Durand’s Michael felt a bit more like Nick Castle’s as far as his movements. Dick Warlock’s Michael was very slow moving which I really like. I like all 3 of these versions of Michael. I only wish they could have designed a mask for H:20 that looked like a 75 Kirk and only used the one mask instead of the 4 masks that were seen.
Ultimately the H1, H2, H:20 timeline has Jamie Lee Curtis and for me this really ties these 3 together the best.
It was not a 75 Kirk. It was a cast off one of the Tramer’s that survived at the end of Halloween II. That’s the Halloween 4 mask…a cast off of a Tramer.
The production people actually thought blonde was the normal hair color for Myers since they used a mask from Halloween II but they didn’t know exactly what mask they were using.
