Is it safe to use hair spray on a mask?

I’m trying to style my ToT H2’s hair to look more accurate to the film but no matter how much I try to press it down and slick it flat it wants to poof up, so is it safe to use hairspray or another product to better control the hair that won’t damage the latex?

Thanks.

I do believe most artists and collectors use hair spray to mat and style the hair. Shouldn’t be a problem bro!

Hey man, you can mask off the face with very light tact tape and plastic bags if you’re worried about getting overspray on the paint. I doubt hairspray would harm the paint at all, but I’m surely no expert there. If it’s camel hair on the TOTs, use water and unscented hair gel… that should tame the poof a bit, and make it more manageable. Good luck man!

Thanks, dudes, I’ll try your suggestions out, I got some excellent reference pics in another thread that I’ll use.

Does anyone else feel like Bugs Bunny when he’s manicuring that big red monster (from Hair Raising Hare) when they are styling the hair on their masks?

“People!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!”

A little bit yeah, here we have one of the cinemas most vicious and frightening killers and we’re primping him like a Kardashian before an interview lol.

BTW those ideas worked great so thanks, I applied just a few spritzes of HS and quickly sculpted the hair with my hands before it dried, vast improvement.

Lmao…As he’s putting sticks of dynamite on his head to represent curlers, tells him he’ll BRB, then skips away, “LA LA La la la laaa”…KABOOM! Best cartoons ever.

water and spray wax always does it for me

I use hairspray on all my masks and it doesnt hurt them

Haha, my wife and my mom made fun of me when I opened my KH/AS and patted the hair down. They were saying," look at him petting his mask".
