Isolated new H1 and played with lighting

Do we know that the TOTS H1 is definitely the size of the H2 Deluxe?

When I saw them at horrorcon 2 employees of tots said it was about the same size and it looked as such as both masks were there. Although I believe Justin said it was in between the Elrod and H2 deluxe

The 78 mask is 24.5 inches. The h2 deluxe is 25.5 inches.

Great news on the size being 24.5, which is perfect for my 23.5 inch head. That was the only thing I was really concerned about. Also to anyone who is interested, I took various the shots of the TOTS 78 mask posted in this thread, and used a photo layering app called photo blender to layer them on top of images of the hero mask form the movie just to see how accurately everything lines up. To my shock, this mask actually lines up darn near perfectly with the details of the hero, so consider me sold

Chris said its between the H2 Deluxe and 2018. So about a 24" mask.

Looks decent but I’m sure they spent a little extra time on the ones they knew would be presented early to the public. I’d wait until the mass produced ones come out. I jumped on the H18 because it’s as screen accurate as you can get to the 2018 film just have it repainted and haired and you have a perhaps the most accurate Myers mask to date minus some of NAGs kirks for the original H1

The more I look at this mask, the more I get a major hallway scene vibe from it.

Good eye, justin sculpted it based on the famous staircase photo

Would love to see the overlay shots

As would I! Hook us up brother!!

Here you go guys, I’m not sure how well these came out because I had to zoom in on the mask in the movie shots, and of course that makes it look pixelated, but I think they’ll work. So for the scene where Michael sneaks up behind Laurie before choking her, where you get that very brief little glimpse of him close up, I used the shot of the TOTS 78 mask posted in this thread where it has bright lighting. And for the scene where Michael’s mask slowly comes into view in the dark doorway behind Laurie, I used the other shot posted in this thread of the mask in darkness. I’m not sure if you can really tell, but I tried to line everything up, and that pretty much shows how close it is ha ha

Damn… which one is the movie?!

 I know man! But actually what I did was take the movie shot, then layer the TOTS 78 mask on top of it. Of course the TOTS shot was transparent so I could line up all the details, but after I did that, what you see there is pretty much the result. Trust me, I did NOT remove the TOTS shots’ transparency at all.

Oh gotcha. Yeah that forehead on the new mask is too high though after looking at it for a bit. I think the whole thing is kind of stretched too long from top to bottom

Yeah, I’m pretty much convinced the details are there though. I do agree the hairline could be a bit lower on the forehead. I wonder if TOTS will take some feedback and fix it before the mask is released.

I doubt that… I’m sure there are a ton already in production but we can dream lol

Hearing about the sizing gives me a definite breath of relief about the new 78. Everything so far has been making me more and more excited about this mask, from having the H40 hair (which is some of the best hair work on a TOTS mask IMO), to now the big head friendly sizing has me so glad that I preordered this. Plus, I’m especially glad to see a mask with a good Castle stretch sculpted into it as well- I’ve always loved a seriously stretched H1 (I’m talking NAG Castle mask or FPS Spectre V2) but one that won’t distort from a big head is a dream come true. Very excited to see these in person!

Was Justin involved with this project? Getting Creep vibes.

Justin sculpted it from the ground up. He even posted some photos and what not of the process on his Instagram.

He did the H4 and H5 as well.

I believe H4 and 5 were confirmed as retools
