Good news that it isn’t Rob Zombie writing, that’s about it really. I don’t hate his directing, I hate his writing and casting.
Zombie is a HORRIBLE writer and caster but he can direct ok.
Bad news is if they go with the pile of crap that RZH2 was then you already have a horrible storyline to start with…not good.
Then you have Todd Farmer, isn’t this the same guy who wrote Jason X? Yeah, that was great stuff right there!
Looks like (as of right now) you have three key ingredients destined to doom:
The continuation of a horrible storyline that Rob Zombie dumped on us in H2.
The guy writing the next installment is the guy who thought putting Jason in outer space was a good idea.
This whole thing is going to be put together by next summer. Given 1 and 2, that doesn’t look promising in the least.
This is gonna be good. MBV3D was super entertaining. I’m excited. I don’t care if they continue rob’s story, or make a new one. I’m sure it will be good.
Even if they continue the storyline I can go into it with an open mind. Just like I have said that Resurrection was a salvageable storyline, so is this…I think. I haven’t really figured out a way to salvage it yet but I’m sure it’s possible.
No not contradiction much, just a mixture of multi-tasking (obviously above my skill-level! ) and a late night!
I have said from the beginning that Zombie is a good director but he sucks as a caster and writer, in my opinion. Halloween 2007 I actually liked for the most part but this was due to the fact Zombie had LITTLE creative input. The casting wasn’t very good but that wasn’t huge, the directing was fine.
With H2 we got to see what Zombie’s “vision” was and if you can defend H2 as a good movie more power to you, I can’t. I thought the filming was better than most people say but the writing was absolutely horrendous.
However, I guess the huge success of H2 proves that theory wrong…right?
Hopefully H3D will be good, if it is even “fair” I’d be happy after watching the latest installment to the franchise.
Don’t like it because H2 was a conclusion. They should do Halloween Retribution. Only problem is that Jamile lee Curtis refuses and they shouldn’t replace her. But 3-D sucks because the kills will be made 3-D and my theater doesn’t support it and if you can’t watch it 3-D it usually looks silly.(watch F13th 3)Overall why keep making more? I would like it if H2 was the end.You know its going to be a different mask and who’s going to play Laurie or Jamie. Laurie is in the sanitarium so how will she be born?
