Haven’t posted in a while here, just recently picked up this mask off of ebay recently, has anyone here heard of this 98 proto “custom shape”? According to the seller on ebay, this is the only one that nik made supposedly, anyway, here’s a few pics, the mask is pretty thin also.

No idea about the custom proto, but man you got a fantastic mask!! Everything about it is amazing. Congrats!

Thanks jezah, this is my first JC mask and proto, and man i absolutely love this thing, the hype is real haha, the mask is thin, with it being converted from a blank in 2022, the blank is more than likely at least 4 yrs old, the latex is great and bouncy, but i was wondering if i could spray the inside of the mask with clear plastidip to prevent any drying or rotting?

What I have done with my masks is first spray it with 303 aerospace protectant on the inside and outside of the mask . Wipe off the excess. Then once that is dried you can then use the plastidip on the inside . It’s what I’ve done with all my masks and they’re all going good! It’s even halted the rot on my h4o mask . Wish I had done it earlier to prevent it from rotting

I believe I have done maybe one or two more but that would be about it.

That blank is from 2022 not four years old. Not sure what makes you think that. My buddy was the original owner

JC wrote 2022 on the conversion, he has a long wait time, so i assume he had that blank 3 plus years before he touched it at least, unless he converted it earlier for whatever reason, or nik sends the blank to JC when the customers spot is up, not entirely sure how that works.

I just told ya the deal with it but believe whatever ya like. Nik dates his blanks bud. U can clearly see nik wrote 22 on his side
