She said in a interview she will not even celebrate the holiday we all know and love to. Sad!!! She must really want to distance herself. So with that said i guess no convention appearances in the near future.
Maybe I’m in the minority here but I’ve been tired of her for awhile now. She was great awhile ago but I think it’s time for Laurie Strode to be retired. Personally I’d like a new movie in the style of the flashback scenes, basically a retelling but with new characters, set during 1978 again though.

I think she was really good at playing Laurie Strode. Sure maybe it got a little out of hand like Friday the 13th. But nevertheless, it was still a very good series, way better than stuff back then. It represented something to her and Michael as well. Very good series in my opinion.

Good points. Personally im not big on the new series but i did enjoy seeing her back and JJC’s performance as Myers was pretty badass.
Agreed, she was the ultimate scream queen but its time for something fresher now.

While I’m not surprised she’s stepping away. She’s done two different timelines as Laurie and she’s awesome. She’s worked hard but I too think it’s ok if she steps away. They tried a remake once and it didn’t work. I don’t really know how they should proceed with a remake and I think they lost the chance to do sequels or different bodies, same evil type plots in Ends but a copy cat idea could be fun too.
