So Jamie Lee has posted that MANY (in capital letters) characters are returning for Halloween Kills. Not just characters, but their performers who did the characters. Now if we are talking the original Halloween, there aren’t exactly “many” left from that film to bring back. Maybe to her, three or four are many, but when I hear MANY, it almost sounds like a collection of characters across the franchise.
I know that would not be a popular decision for some folks out there, because the sequels are nixed in this timeline. Who knows, maybe they came up with other arcs to where they exist, only in an alternate reality universe type of deal.
McBride did say in an interview before the 2018 film was released, that their ideas were sort of an alternate reality, and considering they had originally planned on doing back to back films to start with, perhaps that aspect of the script is coming to light even more now in the next two films?
And Halloween Ends, is maybe more like Halloween: Endgame? Lol Where the collection of characters over the years finally take him down? I know it sounds like some seriously ridiculous over the top stuff, but can we really put it past the Halloween franchise at this point?? Let’s also not forget that Ryan Turek said that the script that David and Danny came up with has a “wild arc”. Which just adds fuel to the fire of the “endgame” theory.
Anyway, Jamie Lee tagged the wrong Kyle Richards on her Twitter, lol, she actually tagged a porn account by accident instead lol hahaha
The way it’s sounding, that hope may be going out the window. Last year’s film may be the most intimate it gets. These next two could very well blow the doors off of that idea if what JLC is saying is true, and ties into this “wild arc” Turek speaks of.
The more casting names come out, the more worried I get, considering now you have Tommy and Lindsay, potential Brackett, on top of Karen and Allyson, etc. That already feels bloated, and JLC is implying there is lots more to come.
If Malek Akkad is seriously trying to make this the end of the franchise, they could very well be packing in everyone they can get for the last hoorah. If they can pull off good films with that idea, then that will be great, but track records show that when a series jumps that shark, it doesn’t end well.
It’s sounding more and more like that’s the case when you take these tid bits of news and put two and two together. McBride says alternate reality, Turek says wild arc, JLC says MANY characters…those are adding up to the Halloween version of an endgame.
