Here you go…NOT mine

That is a gorgeous mask. What are the origins of this mask?
Not a huge fan of it, I think the PS78 looks better.
Ground up sculpt attempted to replicate the ID by James mangrum
I dig it

A recast with sculpted kirk eyes of a ground up that is a copycat of the ID
The stretch just looks goofy with this.
That is a gorgeous mask. What are the origins of this mask?
Simply put, this is a blatant, last-minute attempt to copy the efforts by a respected member of the sculpture community, and is a great example of James Carter’s amazing finish work hiding the rushed handling of the clay. Had it not been for the shifty, backhanded approach to the creation of this sculpt, it would be a decent piece. Unfortunately the reputation precedes the final sculpt and it will just go in the portfolio of other copied pieces by the artist in question. Keep in mind, the artist has been involved in a fair bit of drama from the first week they joined here. Subsequently, they are not a member here anymore.

I see…I wasn’t aware of that. I apologize if my asking this has dug up some old drama, that certainly wasn’t my intention.

Nah man! You’re cool. It’s just been a topic as of late
Epic.
But I will say seeing James finish on this, I can’t imagine what the ID would look like finished by James, probably insane
Beauty. Prefer this over the Ps78. Nik definitely just sculpted the ID to the best of his ability but it’s a nice mask, especially for the price.

Don’t worry about that, if you like it then that’s all that matters. They will now come into any thread about a NAG mask and start this bickering so may as well expect it. Personally, I am not a huge fan of this or the ID mask. If I don’t like it or have a problem with this or that, I just move on to the next thing. Internet drama is a waste of time.
In case you haven’t noticed, I haven’t said much around here lately, and it’s for that very reason. I’m tired of the pointless drama in a hobby and community that used to be fun.

I agree Mike. Not just referring to this thread but there are wayyyyy too many Debbie downers around this place. Not surprising that even most of the mods don’t even come around these days
Skip the drama, enjoy what these artist give us, or move on

Yeah Jay it’s just a real downer that things have to be like this. I’m just here to enjoy the masks and the hobby.
On a positive note, I just accidentally happened across a pair of those Sears workwear coveralls that are thought to be to the ones used in H1, proper color and all. So expect some new worn shots of those soon!

It was literally pure luck bro, just was searching eBay for Myers masks, not even coveralls, and they popped up in the list! I couldn’t believe it myself, but sure enough there they were and in my size as well! Pure luck of the draw man!
