John Carpenters HALLOWEEN Myers Mask

interesting that stunt mask was brought up. I always thought the brows were painted as well but i enlarged the pic and you can clearly see its just the result of the shadows caused by the eyebrows depth. not painted

trust me they are painted if the mask had hair eye brows ( which it did ) and than the mask was painted white the eyebrows would be white or a darker shad due to the glue hair not all coming off etc but if you look at the Halloween 4 poster and the shot of Michael in the bedroom where it;s completely dark just before Loomis shots him off the balcony you can clearly see dark eyebrow - painted on or not ( left hair coming throw the white paint ) it’s dark eyebrows and not a shadow

Even when Michael is coming throw the shadows before he stabs Laurie eye brows are clearly dark and it’s not shadows

and the coup da grass

personally i think it looks better to be honest adds more character to the mask. Besides that’s lets be clear on one thing the mask in question is the stunt mask not the hero although the hero is portrayed in the Halloween 4 Movie poster with darkened eyebrows:) The stunt masks used Dick Warlock would know nothing about cause he never worked on Halloween 1 and those mask were long gone by the time Halloween 2 rolled on filming - Hell the Hero was almost destroyed and a shell of it’s original state ( not saying that’s a bad thing ) but it did cause confusion for yrs in fans

Hey,

Could you please do a shot of myers standing at the hedge?

Thank you,

-David

Infamous, im not going to argue but if you look at all the pics you posted and my clear upclose pic of the stunt mask youd see that everything you posted only backs up what I said about them not being painted any color other than white. The mask had the eyes cut larger, the sideburns and eyebrow hair removed, and the hair messed up and darkened, then the mask was spraypainted white. The only reason that the eyebrows appear to be any darker is because they were sculpted on and are 3 dimentional, so the shadows cast from the lighting during filming made them appear to be painted darker. Just shadows, all an illusion. They are in fact as white as the rest of the mask

ahe H4 poster cover was a painted artwork not an actual photograph, and for all we know it was a painted copy of the black and white book cover that shows the actual hero. Therefore the artist didnt know the colour and only assumed they were brown, hence the painted eyebrows. A painted artwork doesnt necessarily back up the claims

Whatever you say man. Your trying to tell me from my own 1080p pics cause you enlarged them hahaha

To be honest i could care less overall. I just genuinely think they look cool darker in shadow or not. I’m so glad some of you have became such Myers aficionados just by joining this site and taking a free trial run in it’s time machine to the actual set of John Carpenters Halloween in 1978.

Hopefully some will get a degree when it’s all said and done after their final semester of HALLOWEEN exams

Haha, if there were HALLOWEEN Exams, I would’ve gotten straight A’s on my cards xD

 i here yeah :drinkers:

Will have more HD stills of the blu Ray version of John Carpenters HALLOWEEN soon

I say wear and tear to the paint work is why they are brown.

They painted over the original kirk paint job. You can see the kirk brown brow paintjob leeching through the white paint job in some of the 8x10 B&W stills, and theres another BTS shot with the hero showing some brown brows. Please don’t make me dig for it.

the paint might have worn maki ng them appear brown, but they wernt painted brown…

Ed I totally agree with that.

haha you love beating a dead issue - i already agrees with you how many times  as i mentioned several times as well either way the notion and visible shadows /hair left over or whatever the darkened eye brow look - looks wicked and suitable to me

BTW I love you avatar it
