Hey guys!
Today I want to share with you something that I have worked so hard on in recent months…
Since I was a kid I always remember the first horror movie that I ever set my eyes upon and to this day is still one of my all time favourite horror movies… Halloween H20.
This film has always had a hold on me, I think it’s easilly the best entry since Rick Rosenthal’s Halloween 2.
Although Rosenthal’s H2 in my eyes went way off Carpenter’s vision of creating a character of supernatural abilities, It still had that Halloween vibe to it.
Anyway back to H20. As many of you will know that John Ottman scored an orchestral/hitchcockian style for the film, which in the end barely got used in the post production release, due to director Steve Miner not being 100% satisfied with certain scenes where the music was used.
Instead Dimension brought in Marco Beltrami to add some of his work from Scream, Scream 2 and Mimic.
Which ultimately in my opinion gave the film to much of a Scream vibe.
Beltrami’s version of the score had certain pieces which were never released, while I tried my best to revamp the score with his work from Scream and Mimic, I was un able to make a complete score from his work.
This being said, I have been able to put together a score that has never been officially released, which conatins my own personal film edits/mixes which I believe to be as close to the film as we’re going to get any time soon.
I have found lots of attempted edits around the web, but they either contain to much SFX/dialogue due to poor ripping equipment.
So guys I will present to you my playlist which I will post at the bottom of this thread, which will be a Myzuka link.
I hope you guys can seriously take into consideration the work I have put into this project and hopefully get some feed back on your thoughts and opinions!
