Looking into finally buying some H1 jungle boots, I came across two listings and was wondering what everyone thought in terms of accuracy and what they might do?
First four pictures are new, remanufactured boots from smwholesaleusa.com
Last three pictures are from a listing I found online for 1968 vintage.
Leaning towards buying the new ones and wearing them in myself.
both are great, they both have the proper soles on the bottom so treads are both correct
Most repros are cheap and will fall apart in no time. I personally would only buy originals.
Is this based on experience? What makes you say they will fall apart in no time? The ones I highlighted aren’t cheap in terms of price, so I’d be pretty upset if they did.
No, just research. And it came mostly from the opinion of jungle boot enthusiasts moreso than Myers cosplayers. (Although I have seen some in the Myers community who also shared this opinion.) The Chinese repros in particular seem to be the ones most often pointed to for their cheap materials.
Gotcha. Yea, I ended up calling these guys (SM Wholesale USA, out of California). Apparently they use stock materials from USA, but they are assembled in Mexico. They even come with a laminate insole like originals did. Person I spoke with was nice and very informative. So hoping for the best! I pulled the trigger - after shipping came to $200 
but atleast they are new, and I can break them in myself. Thanks for your input!

I’ve seen that, problem is Xtra Narrow is just not a possibility for my feet lol.

the 11s will fit fine my foot is bigger than yours and they fit with ease. I wore them most of October to break them in and theyre now a go to trail boot for me.
