greetings my old friends and Happy New Year!
I’ve been meaning to get on and share this little story with you all… I’ll keep it short and let the pics themselves do most of the bragging. Malek Akkad threw a little party back on October 30th at the Conga Room in Downtown L.A. to launch his new sCare Foundation. a friend of mine who used to intern for Trancas was helping out with it, and hooked me up with the opportunity to play a pretty important character at the party… Michael Myers himself! it was one of the coolest gigs I’ve ever been a part of, and I must say it was pretty surreal having celebrities come up to ME wanting to take pictures when ususally it’s the other way around! Rick Rosenthal and Nancy Stephens gave me a look of admiration when they walked in on the red carpet… I could see the look on Rick’s face as if he was staring at the ghost of the same Shape he directed in H2 over 30 years ago. But when Jamie Lee Curtis arrived as the honorary guest, once she caught sight of me, it was if she was being reunited with her real long lost brother, and I was the one in his shoes! the look she gave me was like “there you are. I knew you’d be here!” and she beckoned me to follow her into the restricted celebrity area. I’ll shut up because words really can’t describe the experience. She and I got hung out a bit backstage before she went on to accept her humanitarian award, and she is a very sweet woman. She had some very interesting comments about my KH #3, and yes folks, she held it in her hands. I feel pretty special that I personally received my mask 10 years ago from Dick Warlock and Ken Hertlein in person, but who else can say that their KH was held in the hands of the original scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis… no one but THIS GUY! I’ve come close to selling my KH a few times, but now I see why it was meant for me to hang onto it for a little bit longer. it experienced the ultimate Halloween party with me! now I can sell it in peace if I must… can’t really top this! that’s enough bragging… now for some pics! also here’s a link that was on Perez Hilton about it! http://perezhilton.com/2011-11-01-ja…-michael-myers
