Jon can ask whatever he wants for the mask. Hell I’ve had people bitching up a storm because of what I was originally asking for my NM78 proto. Hell I should have just sold the f*cker back when I was offered $5k, or hell I should have taken the $3,500 offer that I received when I first got it back from JC… the point is that there are obviously those out there that believe RARE masks such as mine and Jon’s are worth the asking price.
I personally still feel the original Kh’s are superior to the SLE’s, but that’s just me. Just as I feel the new owner of my NM78 proto owns the best H1 ever produced, that is my opinion, and just as opinions vary across the board, an items given worth varies drastically from day to day, month to month, and from individual to individual. It may sound like a steep asking price to some of you, but I feel Jon can get it. Not only is it rare, but like my NM78, it’s the “proto” copy and I don’t care what anyone says, artists put far more time, effort, and detail into the proto copy compared to production copies, so that alone gives it added value. I’m telling many of you, who base your standards of quality on H78’s, if you were to ever own or see a DB2, Kh, or 4 stamp NM78 (my old copy, Eric’s, or Paul’s), you would realize why these masks sell for premium amounts and why they are hailed as the best of the best by most veterans to this day.

Masks are worth different price ranges to different people.If you are having trouble scraping together funds for a $200 mask then certainly $2,000 and up will seem insane.However,that does not mean that a person with the means of paying it won’t feel that it is perfectly fine because it is rare.The old concept of supply and demand will always hold true.If you want a certain mask,it becomes available and you have the money…knowing that it might be the only chance you have of grabbing that mask…you will jump on it,if you are a fanatic like me.I have put myself into some hot waters financially through love of the hobby.I just know when an opportunity appears,sometimes you have to throw caution to the wind and grab it.With that said,there are also limits for the average person.If I were wealthy I would need a house just for my masks 
Also,you can bet I would’ve grabbed jon dano’s KH/SLE already.So,it is always worth grabbing a rare piece if you can do it without crushing your finances.
I think I’ve already come to terms with the fact that I will never own a KH of any kind. Although…I never thought I’d ever, ever get my hands on a Psycho or NM78 and I now own both.

I agree with you, Matt. I have masks that I never thought I would have too. When I first started collecting, I would settle with things that I could afford and just buy stuff that was not as accurate but in my price range. Then I started seeing other collectors and the cool stuff they have and it just clicked for me. Save up for the good stuff and don’t settle for anything less. I would buy the kh right now if I had the funds but I don’t have it… YET! I am not going to lowball him and whine about the price being too high.
Well the only reason I have much better masks now than when I started is because i have a better job than when I started. I’m still probably never going to own a KH (which I can accept) because in a few years I’m going to have to live on my own and that’s not going to leave any money for any masks anymore probably. I’m trying to get what i can while I’m still lucky enough to live at home.

The mask was priced to NOT sell…I don’t want to sell the mask, but hey I need some money and i put it up for the ONLY price i would let it go for.
I love this mask so thats why i picked $6500.
again i never want to sell this mask and the only way i would was for 6500.
Jon you owe NOONE an explanation why you asked a certain price for your mask. You are giving someone an OPTION to buy the mask at what you are willing to let it go for, noone is being forced. I don’t see a foul here bro.
