Well I finally got around to taking a few shots of this beast! It’s my best score EVER!!! I snagged this one from Benny about a month ago and can’t stop looking at it. Thank you so much Benny!!! This is the #5 copy and “gold signature” mask. I have aways loved this mask from the first time I saw it. Everything about it is PERFECT, especially the eye cuts! I know that some people will say that the only thing different about the “gold signature” copies is… the gold signature! Not so! I have owned one KH/DW (over number 6 and under number 12) and held 2 more higher number KH’s and the finishing on this #5 is COMPLETELY different from those! The paint on this one is much brighter white than the higher numbered ones I had or (held). The latex is a rich dark pinkish/brownish color much like a coral color, BEAUTIFUL! The hair is NOT red but more of a medium brown color with a tint of red. The latex is super soft on this guy and of a medium thickness. But the paint is in-freakin-sane on this one
This is indeed the best mask I have ever had the pleasure of holding! It is my end all H2, but this thing also pulls some great H1 looks due to the eye cuts.

Here’s an added flash pic I took today to show the brighter white paint and eye cuts nicely
Glad it went to a good guy like you James, I know it is in good hands!
Having owned that mask I can personally say it is one of the nicest masks ever made! I can also back up your statement about the gold signature copies being nothing more than the gold signature…HARDLY!!
I have owned two gold signatures, a higher number copy (above 7) and held two more that were higher numbers and ALL the higher numbers were much greyer, had much less paint detail and had the orangish hair…without exception. That doesn’t mean they weren’t good, a KH is amazing due to the sculpt!! I have also seen many higher numbered copies that were outstanding but still they DID look different than the first 5.
When Ken did these he didn’t set out to make the first five different due to the “gold signature”, that was just a fluke. The pen ran out, he didn’t bother to buy another. Simple as that. Still yet these DO have different colored hair, more detail in the paintup and not as grey. It just worked out that way and anyone can argue it but seeing is believing.
Great pics man and thanks for sharing! Enjoy that beauty.
I concur. That is simply the best lookin’ mask out there, bar-none.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the reddish-brown hair.
Great lighting James, and fantastic pics as usual!
