I’ve never spoken to Ken, but I highly doubt there will ever be another KH mask.
That said, I’ll never say never because I would bet that’s what everyone said for years after the original KH run. I’m certainly not getting my hopes up though.
It would be a tough pill to swallow for the current owners though, and especially for those who spent thousands buying them secondhand. For that reason alone, I don’t think Ken would ever do it. He seems like a stand-up guy.
BUT, I don’t know how you spend HOURS (days? years?) sculpting something that you would make such a limited number of masks from. That sculpture could honestly be like a cash cow. I can’t imagine the amount of money he could make if he just started producing blanks.
They’re beautiful to look at and I’m happy for all of the owners. I can’t wait to swipe…um, I mean look at Donnie’s in Dallas next month.
It’s understandable that current KH owners would be disappointed at any declined exclusivity in the KH Myers group. But what they have would never change. I would never argue that Ken release blanks of a prior sculpture, but instead suggest he create a new sculpture, a Kirk, and sell them in raw form. What can NEVER be touched is the lore of the KH/DW and even the SLE, and to be frank, Ken could release something on par DP’s The Mask without doing much harm to his prior work. And yes, I am aware that this will never happen, but it’s fun to think of how it could be done.
The original Run of KH/DW’s gets my vote.
not that the new released version aint awesome in detail cus they are, but there’s a couple of features that put me off on the perfect H2

from pics ive seen i believe the new ones have a more spot on sreenused look while being worn.
respectfully, for some reason on display neither run has ever tripped my trigger. the KH’s just dont do it for me especially considering the $ amount.
with that being said i would like to see one in person. i might find they have a different appeal outside of pics.
Personally speaking, I would not care one bit if Ken decided to make more KH’s. It really does not matter to me if there are 6, 9 or a million, I just feel blessed to own the one that I have.
BOTH versions are KING of H2, period.
One really isn’t better than the other and a select few of us are lucky to own them.
That being said, I’d love to own an SLE to go with my original.
If I had 7k, I’d snag Jon’s in a heartbeat.
You really can’t go wrong with either if them, I personally like the first “Gold” versions the best. I bet they’re even more amazing in person, I’d seriously sell my left testicle for it.
