As said before, I’ve started my first Kills mask rehaul. No tutorial online has resulted in a fair mask, as they’ve either been too grey, white, or black. I’ve successfully done a H40 and Ends mask, but this one just seems a bit more difficult to do, most likely because of the glossy seal on this mask. Is there a good way to remove the seal, and are there any tips to get that overall “toasted” tone on the mask?
Awesome I can hardly wait to see the finished mask, and you can try using a dremel, and if you don’t have a dremel you can try something made for peeling. And you can try the Chris Nelson method while painting it which is putting your dark brown and black mix on first and then gradually put more white, then a yellow wash, and some extra crack painting with a very small paint brush. Anyway I just finished my kills mask today here’s some images.

Thats the mask! I’m gonna do some additional tone washes, redo the hairline and then paint the burnt side and I’ll share it
