Kills Reference Photos

Since I’m doing a Kills rehaul, I thought I’d share my collection of reference photos. It overall has a toasty cream tone, while the burn side goes down to a more yellow-green tone. The cracks are almost a dark charcoal/pavement color, along with the lips, but the burns themselves are primarily blackened and a bit ashy

Have you finished your kills mask yet?

It’s driving me crazy, I can’t get the base color right because I’m going back and forth between the (very) different screen used masks. I think the latex is getting a bit weak too, so I’ll try one last time before buying a new one

I’m sorry bud I’m sure you’ll get it right this time, try buying Justin mabrye’s night shade paint in zombie flesh color for the white side, that is the same type and color of paint Christopher Nelson used on the screen used mask. There is a website called nightmare toys and you can get the paint the cheapest on there.

Its ok! I saw that paint, but I’m fine using the paints I have. My plan is to have a slightly off white base coat, then use a yellow-brown wash for the worn tone.

Ok buddy, good luck🎃

So how’s it going today, were you able to get the base color of your mask right?

I got it off in the most important places like the forehead and cheeks, I’m still getting it off at the rear neck. My plan this time is for a base off white coat, a black wash only in the damaged areas, then a yellow-brown wash to set the toasted tone for it. I should have these steps done by tomorrow or Friday!

Can’t wait to see how it turns out. I just finished my first Kills as well. Definitely takes patience.

That’s awesome can i see yours?

I’m going to take a few pictures and I’ll start a different thread.

Just an update, I tried my wash and it was too golden (weirdly enough). I’ll go for a more solid yellow wash, then post a few pictures when the wash is solid!
