Ahhh,right…I forgot about the list Colby compiled completely.I contacted him when he asked who might be interested and threw my name in.However,I just pre-ordered the book on Amazon before I saw this brought up.Either way,I know I wanted in!!This book is going to be amazing.

Hello everyone, it appears that some of you missed the update that I made in Larry’s thread awhile back so I bumped it. Check out the first page of that thread to see if it clears it up for you. :slight_smile:

At the time I contacted Kim about the book idea that was brought up years ago but never happened, she was having trouble reaching a deal with her publisher so it was put on hold. They refused to do it the way she wanted to have it done (size/formatting, etc.). I encouraged her to just publish it herself for a limited collection edition and she liked the idea but was afraid that she wouldn’t get enough buyers because it was going to cost more to publish it herself meaning that the book would be more expensive. That’s where the list comes in. I asked her if she would like me to make a list so she can get an idea of how many would be interested, she said absolutely. I produced the list for her and she was impressed. She told me that she would like to give her publisher one more chance to cave in before going forward. They did cave in. Why did they finally cave in? I don’t know. The limited collection edition idea I proposed to her went out the window once they made a deal. On the bright side, the book will be CHEAP and readily available.

I haven’t talked to Kim in awhile and was completely in the dark until Kaizu informed me about the update, she told me that the release date was set for September 2014 and it looks like it’s happening for real. I encouraged her to send email updates to those on the list, she thought it was a good idea but I guess she never did. If you have a FB account and some questions, you can try to find her on FB and ask her. She’s also very responsive on FB. I don’t feel comfortable giving out her email address without her permission as it’s not public.

I like to think that we pushed her publisher to cave in. :wink:
