Kind of curious

Has any serious artist out there ever actually tried spray painting a mask with krylon? I know they used to make that latex based h20 stuff that’s hard to find. But normally I use a paint brush and mix my paints with acrylic and latex, but I wonder if you lightly mist the mask will it still crack over time?

There are a few threads on here where people have used this method. I wouldn’t trust it for the longevity of the mask though honestly

Anyone else try this?

I’ve used Rustoleum on masks before without issue. Despite successful attempts, I’d be hesitant to use it on a high end mask. Airbrushing latex paint with a wide spray gives a perfect spray paint effect.

Cool is that the mask painted with rustoleum? I purchased a blank from kreation x and was going between buying a cheap airbrush kit or getting a rattle can of white paint and spraying kind of far away…

Yes.

Have you had any problems with the paint cracking?

No. I made sure to mist it thin. It really isn’t made to flex though.
