I’ve seen so many negative comments about Kyle coming back. That is very bizarre to me 
Some of that negativity might be due to them not getting Brian Andrews for Tommy Doyle, and instead going with Anthony Michael Hall. So some fans may be thinking “oh sure bring back the real Lindsay, but not the real Tommy?!” And I can understand that actually.
She gets to come back for her role, but Andrews doesn’t. Kind of a dick move on Andrews. I realize he hasn’t been an active actor, but I don’t see why he couldn’t pull it off. Ohwell, this is what we are getting and there’s no stopping that train now.
Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head but as a filmmaker you have to what’s best for your product too and maybe they did approach him and he declined. Ya never know. I saw a few comments that were upset that Danielle Harris didn’t get the role lol. Uhhhh… what? Lol
Now that’s ridiculous. Danielle as Lindsay? No. At most Danielle could of been some new side character, but even then, I would rather her get her own movie down the road not related to this timeline.
Yeah I agree they have to do what they have to do, but they had to of known fans would be all fussy over Kyle getting in and Brian not. He could very well of declined, hard to say. I’m sure we will learn more in the coming weeks.
I am personally fine with it, but I understand why fans would get up in arms over it. If Brian comes out and asks why she got in and he didn’t, then the fans are going to go ape shit on the film crew. If he comes out and says he didn’t want to do it, then that’s just the way it is.

Dang. Funny because I just posted a thread on this and didn’t see this until after I did, haha. I actually think it’s awesome seeing her come back. I think it’s going to be cool to see how the Lindsey character will play a part in it as an adult. I’m looking forward to it.
That’s strange, I didn’t think he had any social media. Maybe he does, hell I don’t know. Just never seen him on any platforms. I wonder what he could of been saying if that’s true? He goes to the conventions all the time, so that would be weird if he was on a negative tirade.

Welp after some digging, it turns out what you heard was true. What happened was when they were doing Halloween 2018, he apparently went on a huge tirade shitting all over Blumhouse for not casting him, just going off the rails on them for not asking him to be in it.
So, that probably didn’t do him any favors for being cast as Tommy in the next two films. Probably should of kept his trap shut and he would of been cast for these next two films.

I think Anthony M H is a great choice. Look at a pic of Brian Andrews when he’s slightly older and AMH. They look like they could be related. Plus it’s business. Anthony has a bigger track record and better acting chops. What has Brian really done?
