Yea, I know the deal.—Sometimes to make mine keep that look I have to hit it again with another pass, or two—could never go wrong with adding extra black—always does the job!
I’ve loved painting for as long as I can remember and enjoy trying new techniques. As I’ve aged, my color choices shifted to more black, brown, and grey. I used to avoid darker shades for shading but now embrace them. The best way to improve is through experimentation and finding what feels right.
Couldn’t say it much better myself.
Working on the handle of this sickle , I used bark brown , loving it so far.
LD here, still chipping away at stuff , some more bloodwork. Still more to do on the pumpkin mask, but the bat is almost done just needs to dry and get a few more blood details and a clear coat. Got 2 new masks today as well. Why is the smell of new latex so good?! Lol
