i am watching the 1978 film, and i cant help wonder…how did they get the dog to relax the way he did when Michael strangles him? Ive always wondered this, just havent actually thought to ask. Watching his legs and muscles relax…i cant imagine how you would train a dog to do this LoL
Good question. Possibly trained? German Shepherds can do some amazing things with the proper training.
I think the animal trainer was holding the dog straight up in his arms and then began to lower him down to the ground. Then JC would use a slow-mo effect for the final shot in the film.
Right, it was a dog trainer who just lowered the dog & they ran it in slow motion.
Actually I am pretty sure, they were playing the dog jumping up to it’s owner in reverse and slow motion to make it look as though the dog went limp. I think I either read this somewhere or saw it in a documentary.
