Life Size 1:1 Scale RZ 2007 Michael Myers

Hey everybody :smiley:

Thought i would start a thread with the progress of my 1:1 scale life size 2007 Michael Myers which is not a 100% complete as yet,i am still waiting on my wielder hands from Nick,Artifact mask and lastly…the infamous Lamson replica knife :mrgreen:

This is my first life size attempt,i was originally going to do a life sized voorhees…but with the big day approaching i figured a life size myers would be the way to go for now :mrgreen:

First…i had taken a few wooden planks of timber,cut them down to fit in the waist of the mannequin,i then used araldite to install a large bolt for the top half of the mannequin to be placed on,to provide a little extra support i added a belt that goes over the timber block and in between the legs of the mannequin.







Originally an international ebayer was going to send me a pair of Carolina 8519 boots,however 2 weeks after i paid for the boots the seller had lost contact with me ( typical Ebay :leatherface ) i then came across these,they are Carolina and resemble the 8519 model,there are a few slight differences.



This is the 8519 model Tyler used in the movie




These are the model i used with my life size ( not weathered as yet )




The coveralls was purchased straight from Josh,they are the same size used on screen by tyler ( 54 Tall ) the white under shirt is just a standard shirt purchased from my local shopping mall with basic weathering.





After applying bubble wrap on the arms,legs,torso and back it has given the mannequin more of a realistic appearance,Tyler is more broad in reality…however if i add more padding it gives the mannequin more of a Kane Hodder appearance…

My Revolver half mask is just on the mannequin temporarily until i receive my Artifact,once i receive the mask i will be shipping it to Ben ( Killah ) for a repaint and rehair.









With the boots he stands at 6’9

Sorry for the camera quality,these are just quick snaps,once the project is 100% complete i will update the thread with better quality photos,also i will snap some side views,back and front shots.

Oh and please take no notice to the kids toys in the photos,my daughter feels as if Michael is protecting her stuff when she is at school…each day more and more toys are placed in the room near him :confused: :confused: :confused:

Looking great so far. The tiny mannequin hands made me laugh a little. Why a Lamson replica and not a Victorinox?

Wow. That looks amazing. I never would have thought to put wood in between the torso and bottom half to make him taller. Cant wait to see it finished with the Artifact on it. Is it an HSS or a QOTS?

Thanks man,lol,yeah the hands most certainly have to be changed asap,though i still have use for them for another project which i am going to have them re painted by Josh,the weilder hands should be here hopefully within 2-3 weeks :smiley: …what was the brand of the knife in H1 07??? i always had in mind that it was a Lamson???

Josh actually gave me the idea for wooden planks,he used wooden planks and fibre glassed them with his H2 life size,but i had in mind i may place a price on this guy in the future so the wooden blocks would have to be removable so it’s easier to post and transport :smiley:
The Artifact is a HSS mask,i seen the QOTS Artifact jarrett62960 was selling not to long ago,i was tempted to purchase it…but at the time it was for sale i had breached my monthly budget on other projects/busts/masks.
I am looking forward though to have Ben bring some life into the HSS Artifact,i seen his work on the HSS Relic…the end result was just as good as DT Buried imo.

The brand of knife was Forschner. Great looking lifesize man gonna be awesome seeing another Artifact lifesize.

You should mix it up and put a Hobo Myers on the X02 since you have the half mask

It has crossed my mind to do a life size hobo…but out of the RZ films i would have to give the 07 version the credit imo.
Michaels appearance was simple…coveralls,boots,knife and a kick a… mask…
I like the hobo appearance man…but i dig the 07 version more :smiley:

Yeah, i saw the Ben overhaul. Its truly amazing. I was thinking about getting a Relic and sending it to him =p

Im glad to see more people posting here in the RZ Forum, its been rather dead. Now, with a project like this, it restores my faith LoL

Are you gonna have this done by Halloween?? It would be one hell of a decoration to put on display :wink:

Definitely yes man,this guy should be officially complete by mid October in time for the big day,i don’t think i will be placing this guy outside with my other Halloween goods,i most likely will open the window and place him there for the trick or treaters to see,or if its a sunny hot day/evening i may place him on the front porch near our front door.
The RZ scene has been a little slow lately…
If anyone else has any RZ life size mannequins feel free to post them here :slight_smile:

This is the knife used in the movie. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0019WXJ5Q?pc_redir=1409148766&robot_redir=1. May not be a good idea to use a real knife for a display with kids running around. I think dirtknap fx makes a semi accurate replica.

I cant wait to see it all done up and sitting in your window =p I kind of imagine it being with orange lights around it, all dark and what not :wink:

Thanks Jets,i actually found the exact same knife on Ebay for roughly the same price :smiley:
Roughly 1 week ago i did try and contact JC and dirtknap fx…neither have replied to my msgs’s…as yet.
I was curious with the dirtknap fx RZ remake knife,i would rather have a prop with the vintage wood handle like seen on the film.
The photo of dirtknap fx’s version of the knife on there site has the black handle.
I may just end up purchasing the real knife and blunt the knife down so its safe…i am certain Tyler used the 12" blade forschner with the vintage handle…correct me if i am wrong ???

Neither can i man,yeah that is a good suggestion with the lights…i seen some awesome LED ( light ) strips at my local electronic store a few weeks back,may have to invest in some within the next couple of weeks :mrgreen:

Yep 12" blade. Last year my wife carried a straight razor for Halloween, we dulled the blade with sand paper, it worked out great…

That’s looking killer man! As for the RZ knife the one Jets posted is the correct one, if you want a real one go with that. But keep in mind that knife is really really sharp and i wouldn’t display it on a life size straight out of the box. I’d dull the top and edge down if you wanted to display it, if you want a fake one we have those coming out. Or even right now probably if you can contact my friend Chris(myersman78) he can hook you up, he is part of the BDS team.

We should have a button up this week to order them. He is working on like 5 right now to, so for sure get them in time for Halloween.
