Forgive me if I’ve asked this question before but I don’t remember doing it and I searched around a little bit on the forum and couldn’t find anything in regard to a list of independent mask makers who make custom Michael Myers masks. I would like to expand my options for artists to look into and potentially do business with for my collection. A lot of these I follow on Instagram some I’ve learned about through Etsy but one thing is for sure the more I look around the bigger the list gets. The goal here is to get a definitive list / lineup of artists who make Myers masks. Please feel free to add to this list and make corrections to any of the names I have listed. The ones I know of are as follows
NAG (Nikos Art Gallery)
Rowland Kelly (Deathrow masks)
Jimmy Falco (Spookhouse props)
Nick Mulpagano ( Handiboy )
Rob Lowder (Roblowderfx)
Shape Killer Studios
Pumpkin Lane Work Shop
Justin Mabry ( Nightowl Productions )
Shape Studioz
Cemetery Gate Productions
WMP Masks
JP Studios ( Joel Powers )
House of Horror productions
Graveside Productions
All Hallows Ghost
Sinister Studio
Dead Inside Studios ( Andrew Flatt )
Mirror Image Masks ( Freddy Loper )
Macabre Masks
Father Phantom Studio - This place has the best looking H2O reproduction I have seen yet
James Carter (For Paint) hands down one of the best in the business. Uncertain if he makes the masks also?
And I know there’s more but I’m hitting a dead end at the moment. Again please feel free to make corrections to anything I’ve named as well as the names of the artists alongside the business. I did not know all of them. And please feel free to add to this list. Let’s make this list as big as we can get it
Here are a few more to add to the list: WMP, CGP, GRAVE SIDE PRO, AHG, GHASTLY PRO, SINISTER STUDIOS, BRUTALITY ARTS, FATHER PHANTOM STUDIOS, DEAD INSIDE STUDIOS, SHAPE KILLER STUDIOS
If you’re looking for artists that are CURRENTLY making masks, I’d delete James Mangrum. He hasn’t been reachable for literal years now.
If you’re going to include James Mangrum, you could also include anyone who, at one time, offered the community a mask but has since left. In that case, your list would be LONG and full of folks who simply don’t partake in the hobby anymore.
Yeah primarily looking for those who are still in the game. Thanks I kinda wondered that myself about James cuz I’ve heard a lot on here about he’s kind of pulled back from it for personal reasons. Things again for the input
I have made updates to the list as people have came along and added to what I originally put down. Pretty damn good list so far. Thanks everybody for your input hopefully there’s some more to add to this as far as those who are currently in the business. Hopefully this will send business to these artists as well especially for newcomers to the forum.
Macabre Masks does good stuff nick mulpagano did a review on his hallway 78 and said for his first sculpt he’s come in swinging and he wishes he was that good when he first started out.
