Hey Halloween fans! The night is almost here… so get this…

Over the years I have done a Halloween type of show, haunted zone thingy where I live. I dress up as Michael Myers, my friends help out with decorating the place up, dressing up themselves and all of us scaring the kids and having fun. Now obviously if the kids are between 1-5, you go easy on them or don’t do anything at all. We don’t need little bunnies crying all the way home…

Nonetheless, last week I posted a few posters on the mail boxes in the area, adverting my little Halloween Zone, and for the kids to come and get their candy before Michael Myers gets them… well today, after picking up the mail, I noticed that someone had written across the poster, “You must be sick”

WHAT???.. surely this person can’t possibly think I’m “actually” going to hurt anyone…LOL I must be sick? OH COME ON!!..lol… anywho, I have left the poster up there, but below is a copy of the exact same poster, without the “You must be sick” of course…

What do you guys think? Does this poster scream, “I AM GOING TO KILL YOUR CHILDREN!!!” HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Don’t you think if they were a mature adult, they’d see the address, walk down the street, knock on my door and say, “hey listen, I just saw your poster for the Halloween Zone, and as a parent, I have a few questions” HELLO PEOPLE! what are we 4?

I mean what do you think did it for them? That (hardly noticeable) knife I’m holding? LOL

Man, HALLOWEEN just ain’t what it used to be anymore.
I would LOVE to go by your house and check this out! It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, and over the last few years, I’ve seen less and less kids go out for trick-or-treating. LAME. I commend you for doing something so cool for the big night. Some people just can’t appreciate a good scare or at least some decent creativity anymore!

Yeah man, thats ridiculous!! I think its an awesome thing that you do that. And to put up posters like that is plenty of warning for people that youll be having some sort of scary event around your home. This is what Halloween is all about IMO. I mean you could put nothing up at all and then scare the crap out of the little kiddy’s and their parents when they come around out of no where. You are at least being considerate. And for some other adult to write something like that, which makes no good sense, and deface your poster is the most childish thing ive ever heard!! You are completely in the right and i hope you scare the mess out of some kids and give them a great Halloween, i wish you were in my neighborhood, id be glad to help you. Thanks man, I appreciate your support. This Halloween for christ sakes! You’re supposed to be scared… just pissed me off… I mean this person actually walked home thinking…“oh my oh my… don’t go to that house”…what a bunch of crap!

wow, thats just not right! the poster is as harmless as can be, and i didnt even see the knife til you mentioned it!! whoever that was really needs to be less serious, i mean no one is going to advertize a place to abduct kids!!! WTF!!

I think people are too uptight lately, people really need to lighten up. I don’t think whoever put that on your sign should have reacted that way, obviously they don’t like Halloween, but that doesn’t mean they need to rain on your parade.

We just had our annual Pumpkin Festival in Keene, NH, and long story short - people bring jack-o-lanterns and line them up on the streets and they are lit up, some by candles and some by strung lights, and they try to break the world record for most lit jack-o-laterns at once. There are food stands, fun for the kids, games, costumes, a parade etc. Anyway, there was an article in the local paper about the fesitval and the amount of pumpkins, and someone actually commented that the festival is no place for kids, as they will go home and burn down their house by trying to light a pumpkin. Really, are you serious? This person also went on to say that Halloween “celebrates the devil”. I don’t know about you but when I was a kid, Halloween was about candy and dressing up - that’s it! Ok, maybe when you are a little older, there is a little mischief mixed in but for the most part, Halloween is a “kid-friendly” holiday. Some parents really need to stop sheltering their kids so much and let them have some fun, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying Halloween. Obviously, people should be smart enough to not bring little kids to anything that might scare the crap out of them, but there was nothing wrong with your sign AT ALL. If you don’t want your kids there, fine don’t bring them, but don’t put someone else down because you have a stick up your arse! Like I said, some people just look for any reason to take the fun out of something you like. Great sign man, I would be so psyched to see that around town!

i dont find a problem with it, knowing me if i was 7 or 8 i would want to go cause it mentions candy!! :rock:

there are too many people out there that freak when it comes to halloween
in my neighborhood there is a church that has games and candy…and even provides costumes…WTF!!!
there are too many paranoid people out there

i may only be 17 but even i remember halloween being different when i was little.
now you got kids in frickin reflective vests…with their mothers at the end of the driveway with a flashlight and a walkie talkie and the dad is in a car around the corner. UGH

Me and my friends on halloween would go out around the time the most candy was given out…and wed look for the guy with the most candy…need i say more lol

Lol! I have to tell you, people are getting freaked out more and more, worse and worse every year! I know there are some sickies out there, and, I understand completely, but, it’s Halloween for crying out loud. I had two guys threaten to call the cops on me the other day, if I didn’t take my mask off. I went to try out my Mint 75 to see what kind of reaction I would get, and I got one alright. This guy was literally shaking while asking me to take off my mask. It was sooooo funny, but, scary at the same time. All I was doing was walking around. I would NEVER hurt anybody, but, people are just getting freaked out of there minds :laughing:

Wow, people are way to serious now a days. There is nothing wrong with your poster at all. Fellow Toronto board member, I’m a little outside T.O, but it would be fun to come out and see your set up.
