I’m looking to buy a H2 mask within the next couple months and I’m torn between 3 versions. Ford FX, The Prop Shop, or The Mute on Etsy. I’m only looking to spend 150-250 and I don’t want a crazy wait time so that’s why I don’t want a Del Torre.
Anyway I’m just looking to hear your guy’s opinion on these masks and maybe see some pictures of them if you own them. Thanks guys
Have you considered Russell Lewis’ Destroyer H2? His masks usually go for $225-$250 and they are pretty close to the film masks.
Ford’s masks may be on the cheaper side, but keep in mind… you get what you pay for. If one was to put the Ford masks side by side with the film ones, I think you’d find them to be severely lacking.
If you need a deciding factor, the PropShop masks are small, bout 22.5 inches. If you don’t have a small head, and plan on wearing the mask, I’d go with FordFX or the Destroyer, both of which are more screen accurate.
Destroyer, or if you have time wait for Jack Rupert’s new RZ line. I believe the H2 is next in his lineup and judging by his other work it will be nothing short of absolutely stunning.
Honestly not many options in that price range - if you can afford $100 more go with the destroyer or something that at least Looks like the movie mask. Propshop masks been around a long time and are small. If you check eBay there’s tons of options - you’ll find what you seek
Ford Masks look pretty good and accurate to me, I like them better than DT or Lewis honestly, and they come at a great price and rather quick turnaround time
I would honestly opt for that over the buried right now. What DT has been putting out is just not worth the money. Little to no detail in these pulls at all.
