Hey guys, first time poster but long time Michael cosplayer (if that’s the right term) here. I’m looking to finalize my Halloween 1978 that I’m doing, and plan to finish off my Michael Myers in time for the 45th Anniversary of the original Film, and was wondering if perhaps you guys could shed some knowledge onto me when it comes to the original Sears coveralls he wore.
I have done my research for this, of course, tracking down a pair of identical green Vietnam jungle boots, and close enough new production coveralls from misc. brands. But I’ve never seen many reference photos for the original coveralls, just rough-era accurate coveralls sears made. If anyone has some good reference photos, or even a recommendation as to where I could pick up some replica’s, please help me out.
And of course, I will post my progress of it to it’s completion!
Fantastic, thanks for the recommendation, I’ll get in contact with them once they re-open orders, but they look fantastic!!! Exactly what I was looking for!
As mentioned, Creepy Customs is an artist you ABSOLUTELY cannot go wrong with. You could also look into Gristle Box, or take you chance on eBay getting one of the original manufacturer copies of coveralls.
In my opinion, I would go with one of the two indie artists I mentioned above. They have taken the time to get accurate details and dimensions of the '78 coveralls used in the film, and overall it will probably be a less stressful experience!
Thanks for the kind welcome! I ended up going with Creepy Customs, as I had the cash and his orders just reopened, and may I just say, immediately the service is fantastic. Connor was super nice through the whole ordering process, and even helped me find the right coverall size for me, answering a few questions I had. So excited to receive them in a few months time, add in I managed to find some 1966 print Vibram Jungle boots, the entire lower half will look fantastic!
No problem! I was looking into a '78 and '81 pair by him and recently have seen some of his renditions of Ends and it’s just incredible. Glad I could be of assistance!
