Keep the original bag, keep them stuffed, and keep them out of sunlight. Keep them away from acids, don’t crush/crumple them. Comb the hair occasionally. Most importantly: ALWAYS wipe down the insides of a mask after being worn, and powder it with cornstarch. Stuff and store in a cool, dry, dark area.
Maybe buy a gallon fill it with cornstarch or talc powder and burry the mask in there …just kidding maybe just powder it occasionally out of sunlight and stuffed
I’ve only had one mask rot on me in the last 15 years. I just keep mine stuffed and in a dark cool area of the house. And obviously after wearing, clean and powder the inside. You don’t have to powder them that often. I’ve only powdered mine after wearing. Otherwise I leave them alone. I’ve never had an issue.
Heres my dps 2006 Myers deluxe, first pic is unedited (though I did use a bit of a white light) and the rest are just something I did with snapseed to try and see what I could do with it. Hope you guys like em (and i hope they dont turn out sideways lol
)
Oh and btw the mask is definitely a bit weathered up, the bit of white light I used the my phone camera didnt really show it that well. But the bit of weathering is fairly subtle anyways

There are tons of old Don Post masks floating around. The 1998 Calendar masks are all over eBay and many members here own them. Some are literally brand new and I have seen many more remain flexible then stiffen up. There are even latex masks from the 70s and 80s floating around as well. Vinyl will last forever but well-maintained latex could last a life time
