Mask Hair

Hey guys,

So… I recently purchased a rehauled Hman Blank. The paint looks phenominal and accurate, the eye cuts are on point, but I’ve run into a small problem. I’m trying to go for an H1 78 look yet the hair is portrayed with a 50/50 white and black hair depiction compared to the dark brownish-black tone it’s iconically known for.

I was wondering if it was okay to use a L’Oreal Paris Root Cover Up Gray Concealer Black spray, on the hair, and follow it with Krylon Crystal Clear Matte Acrylic Spray Paint. I’m hoping the effect will darken the hair and hold it together.

I would like some advice to better achieve the look I’m going for, and I’ll provide the current state of the hair below.

Thank you.

Please don’t take this personally but that could def use a complete rehaul. Looks like it was painted very heavy handed with brushes.

A rehair with some cheaper camel fiber would do wonders for it too. Using regular hair dye isn’t worth the trouble imo.
Happy to offer assistance if needed, just a pm away.

Don’t use any hair dye, use the Streaks and Tips, but get some great natural Blonde fibers, cause when you spray it, you can get the depth

You’re probably gonna want blonde hair misted black not white.

Should I use Streak N tips Blonde sprayed on… wait till it dries, and then use Streak N Tips Black hair spray… and once that dries use a strong hair spray???

I’m not really an expert on the matter but I know streak n tips comes out real easy and gets everywhere. It’s honestly no wonder the hair was lighter in h2.

What do you recommend I do… how can I get the iconic H1 hair without it coming out or ruining the hair? (FYI I don’t have an airbrush)

When I convert my TOTS kirk I just mist areas with black spray paint. Emphasis on mist. I maintain a good distance with the can. The hair might feel a little sticky for a bit but is usually fine after it dries. The TOTS kirk hair is blonde though so don’t know how white would look. Here’s what it looks like after I did it on a few of my masks.

This actually helped a lot! Last question I promise  , but did you just leave the black spray paint in or did you add hair spray or clear coat or something?

I usually spray the black and swirl it around so it kinda gets in most areas, then I’ll let it dry and style it how I want it. Then I’ll do a clear coat to keep the hair in place so i don’t gotta style it all the time.
