Recently I have sat back and seen many mask sales and deadlines not being honored and people not getting masks or being unable to file a paypal claim. Today i was forced to file 2 paypal claims on one maker for a total of $675. Did I want to do this? No! I didn’t want to do this but I along with many others are tired of getting screwed and if the maker decides to use paypal then I think it’s only fair they get 45 days to deliver on the goods or they can get a credit card terminal and go that route. After talking to paypal I can’t figure out why it’s the norm. they are terrible and basically say hey we can’t do a damn thing for you…Sorry!
What I propose is this:
45 DAY REVOLUTION CREW (add to your sigs)
People taking paypal payments have 45 days to get the order to the customer or the customer should open a dispute on day 40 and file a claim on the 45th day if the seller and buyer can’t work it out in 5 days. This is the paypal policy and our only guarantee of protecting ourselves and our hard earned money.
I hate to say it but people were right and I got caught in a really bad spot. My confidence is shaken and as for buying more things I will only be dealing with people I really trust and have dealt with multiple times. I find it hard to look at my daughter and think the money I lost could have gone to her.
Great freakin post ,Scott!!! That’s why I’m with you, all the way, to the end!!! 45 days, should be plenty of time, for a mask maker, to get customers their mask!! It’s only, RIGHT!!! James
You know how I feel about this crap!! Some Maskmakers LOVE to take your money
then FAIL upon delivering a quality product quickly with little to NO communication!
I don’t even think the 45 day period should matter because if people put in work and didn’t bite off more then they can chew there would be no problems at all. When you get taken and lose money its a terrible feeling. I wouldn’t do that to anyone and I can’t realize why others would do this to anyone. The world is shady and we need to do all we can to protect ourselves.
Absolutely and Hell yeah,Scott!!!I am in the process of getting beat by two people and I’m out $150.That’s not $1000,but it is my hard earned money just the same.I hate to lose money with no product to show for it.As a matter of fact,it sucks that you only have 45 days, because most mask makers take a month minimum to get you a mask and that is considered fast.If there is a snag on their end and it goes an extra week or two, you’re screwed!!!
VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!! I don’t think a mask maker should take all of your money unless the mask is in his hands and ready to ship out. Hell a deposit would be fine with me but again 45 days and then you have the right to get your money back. It’s only fair for us.
I think this is the biggest reason why I have not bought any masks directly from any mask makers. I lurked around here for awhile before I joined and kept seeing more and more of this but these days there are very few I feel I can trust with my money and even that is getting to be less of a list.
awesome post scott!! starjerk(josh) is freking screwing me outta 550 dollars, im only 14, and 550 dollars is so much to me, i worked hard selling stuff, and working for that cash for that prick to take it away, and my mom got a lawyer, but it looks like there isnt much can be done, it blows, it makes me sick that josh can just take 550 dollars from a young kid who works hard for it, but karmas a bitch, ripping all these people off will come back to bite him in the ass, lol, again great post!!!
The only problem is, one of the BEST mask makers in this community would really be hurt by this. You know, “The 6 months or more” mask maker. He doesn’t do it intentionally and I sure as hell would NOT want him to rush, but, I think the quality from him would really go down the tubes.
This is something I am doing. People don’t have to do it and if you feel comfortable with your mask makers by all means don’t file a claim. There are makers I wouldn’t need to do this with and they know who they are. For people I haven’t dealt with or purchases of a certain amount I will be communicating with my makers before I decide to even buy anything. This isn’t a nail in the coffin for people but a sign that either they should get a credit card machine so they are responsible for your purchase after 45 days. I owned a stereo shop and know how credit card machines can be a great thing to have for your company and your buyers as well.
Great idea you have going here. I and 14 others are in limbo for a project we’ve paid for and now waiting on for 6 months (H1 Clown Mask - The Awakening) from Josh. Hopefully everything will be worked out here soon
i agree. 45 days is plenty of time to wait for an item after paying for it.
i think if a mask maker is so backed up that it would take him 2 months or longer to complete an order, then he should tell the buyer that they are on a waiting list and when their number gets in the top 10 then he will send them an e-mail requesting payment. that way after recieving payment, the mask maker knows he can get those 10 masks out within a few weeks.
i do understand that it must take alot of work to turn masks at a rapid rate. thats why i am so impressed with Nikolas NAG. any mask ive ordered from him ive got within a month, the last one was 3 weeks and thats being shipped from Greece!
i agree with the 45 day revolution and apparently Nik made that his policy along time ago
