Yes, this auction over priced, the seller is either trying to recoup a ridiculous price they paid or is sadly misinformed as to the masks origins. There made 30 of these and if he’s never seen another copy then he’s never visited our gallery. That copy needs a repaint and re-hair, I wouldn’t pay more than 200 shipped, tops.
I’ve owned a few of these and have missed out on some other copies. Basically, a SSN Curse in good condition could sent you back $400. Sadly, most of the original copies have yellowed and the hair looks like a rats nest. It’s true you do not see them often but they’re out there.
Yeah around $300-$400 is what they should sell for. The six is a better mask if you ask me.
