Hey guys,
I’m about to sound like a real shmuck…but I see all these masks that were sculpted to resemble a “certain scene” in the movie. For example the phone scene or the scene on the stairs, I’m sure there are others. My question is How many masks were used in H1 (1978) :open_mouth: Did they make different masks for different scenes or does the mask just look different in certain shots?

Also did the actual Mask or “Mask’s” have a mouth slit? Some of the relpica’s I see have them and some don’t.

in h1, there was the main hero mask, and the stunt mask, no differences, both were a converted 75 kirk, and the mouth was always slit in h1, Z

Yeah, H1 always had a mouth slit, I see a lot of masks without mouth slits that are H1’s and it always bothers me for some reason.

I believe there were 3 masks, one “hero” and two stunt masks, and the mouths were slit, on atleast one for sure. :wink:

only one mask in the movie unless you want to count the stunt mask
just looked diffrent cuz diff lighting and diff facial expressions under the mask
and yes the mouth had a slit

All H1’s should have a mouth slit.

I believe the slit was only there because it ripped when it was put on

That clears it up for me…thanks so much! None of my H1 masks have slits, which will now bug the hell outta me :unamused:

Really…that is very interesting :open_mouth: Now I don’t know if I should make slit’s in all of my masks.

Be careful if you do it , i tried doing it to my old h30 ressurection and it messed up the paint because it was sealed i think.

I believe there were three masks also. There’s a picture floating around on here with all three masks together… Maybe someone can post it if they have it.

Looks like the Hero was REALLY being stretched in this picture.

Wow…that is a pretty big mouth slit. You can hardley even see that on screen at all.

Poor masks they should have stuffed them and had them on a stand

I think the mask on the right is sitting on top of the third one. I think I can make out another mask in there.
