With a nice wooden paper towel holder and some quality paint you can make a sick mask stand.Thats all I use…Different strokes for different folks …

I think a Warlock on a towel holder is the same as a Warlock on a QOTS stand pal… Only difference IMO is that 1 is custom made and priced as so while the other is a affordable and get’s the job done…

I have a couple of these Harriet Carter cases (the 18 1/2 version) and they work great, the cases arent great quality, but they look nice and get the job done for $20

I am saying that if you display an item on a cheap paper towel roll than its GHETTO ass shit. Thats all Im saying. JC, and the life size ones are fine. Im simply saying to dont be a cheap bastard and put it on a paper towel roll OR a 2 liter coke bottle. Might as well put your mask on an old shoe. May i suggest some construction boots for that genuine rugged weathered look?

I get these paper towel holders at Wal-Mart for around $10 a piece. They are very sturdy with all metal construction and a nice dark brown finish. You can leave the ball on top or unscrew it and replace with a large styrofoam ball for more support. I’ve also bought prefabbed mask stands in the past, but personally I’ve never spent over $12 for one. I agree that the stands mentioned in this thread are very nice, but if you’re talking about displaying a large number of masks the cost is definitely an issue. I prefer to spend less on stands and more on masks.

well some people bro… dont have the money to spend on QOTS stands, i use paper towel holders, which look just as good as any qots stands, and paper towel holders run from between 7-15 dollars each, very affordable, i respect that you like the qots stands… but i feel paper towel holders display masks real nicely, Z
Guys if I could chime in here for a second. First thanks to everyone who said nice things about our stands. I would just like to say that Jc makes a damn fine wooden stand along with Lsd as well. I created Quiet On the Set Studios because I wanted to make a high quality (clear) mask stand to go with our clear acrylic cases. I knew they would cost a lot to make and sell. I could have done them in wood with a very nice stain on them and will do that down the road but I like the Clear look. That is my opinion It’s up to people to display the masks they buy however they like. I wanted my collection to be displayed a certain way and I found a bunch of people also wanted to do that and made a business out of it after getting so many requests for stands. Over the years I have put my masks on just about anything to keep them propped up you could find around the house.
I wish I could purchase the material and make the stands for $20 each but pricing on material has went up over the last two years and is stable at the moment but at an inflated rate. Finishing the stands takes a lot of elbow work to sand and edge the parts them chemically bond them before you have to flame polish and buff everyone.
I don’t want people to fight over what stand to use. We all collect masks and at the end of the day and if you feel our clear stand is the way to go then I made that option available to people. Jc makes a killer product if you want to go for the high quality wood look and with his awesome skills he made that option available to people. Lsd comes in with a nice budget minded stand that is also a great option for people.

i get those exact holders, they are perfect and just as nice as most stands, they make the mask look great, you dont need to shell out a shitload of cash for a qots stand if you dont want to, you can pay 10 dollars for a great stand
Can I ask you why you feel the need to basically bash my products saying they cost a shit load like they are threatening your choice to use a paper towel holder or something. If you dont want to spend the money on one of my products that’s cool. I know Jc doesn’t charge $20 for his stands so I think it’s funny you have a problem with what I am asking for mine. My products are another option nothing more nothing less. I get a very negative hateful vibe after reading your post and really don’t know why my products seem to piss you off.

Great ideas from all of you. JackCapers those were some very helpful links. I really needed some tips on taking care of the mask too and that one link was perfect for it. The more replies the merrier guys, just like I said before.

Not to sound like a jerk, but I looked into making my own stands, like Scott’s stands, and the proper material to make one just like Scotts’, is around $30, each!!! I even talked over the phone with the guy from the company, that was gonna sell me the material, and he said, it’s gonna be so much hard work to make them look like Scotts, he said, the $60 that Scott charges, is well worth your money!! That’s coming from a pro!!! At the end of the day, when it’s all SAID & DONE, we all know that, Scotts stands are the best being offered to this community! We should all thank Scott for his hard work, time, and effort, he put’s into his projects, 4 our community!!!
Guys, my head is going to explode, this is getting way off topic. littlemichey asked how to keep the mask clean and WHERE to get a decent mask stand. I think the topics has been answered, can we stop the battle over who makes the best stand and especially the cost? Scott shouldn’t have to justify his cost structure, if you like his stands buy them, they’re wonderful, if they’re too expensive for you, there are other solutions that work as well.
