Long time member here, but I haven’t posted on here in quit awhile…so thought I would share some quick pics of my Tots 2018 Proto I scored last weekend @ Mask Fest. I haven’t messed with the hair at all…this is straight outta the bag. Hope you guys like it !!

Please forgive my ignorance…I must have not been keeping up on the all the posts…but what is the closet scene proto? I’ve been hearing about it a lot on different posts but I can’t find the origin. Thanks. Great score btw 
They’re production run copies that have a more detailed paint job, and the hair is sprayed with latex. I believe those are the difference. Oh and it’s limited to 150? Someone correct me if I’m wrong!

Close lol…They are limited to only 100. They are the very first masks to be made prior to production…& have a completely different kind of hair on them, than the original production copies.
They all sold out the first day of MaskFest. In like 45 mins lol They sold 50 @ another show & brought the remaining 50 copies to MaskFest.
If I’m remembering correctly (it was a looong weekend) I overheard Justin say they made 100 for the studio but they only kept 20. So these were the leftover prototypes. I also thought the hair was only sprayed with hairspray and some gel applied.
I also got one of the prototypes. As a vendor myself, TOTS was my first stop after I got my table set up on Friday afternoon. I had mine signed by Chris Nelson and Nick Castle over the weekend. Chris was such a pleasure to chat with and he did a hell of a job on the sculpt!
Is the mouth not cut out on these versions? It’s hard to tell from the pictures but it doesn’t look like there’s cuts for the mouth.

The mouth is cut…its just stuck together with the clear coat or whatever.
Yeah apparently half were given away for certain cons, etc and 50 ended up being sold. Cool to own one of these for sure but I’ve seen a guy trying to sell one for $350 which is definitely not cool! Beautiful mask though and highly detailed sculpt
