Sorry if this has already been asked. I know the catalogue is coming soon, but when is t expected exactly? And I heard a while back that they now have the licenses for Rob Zombie’s versions… do you think that will be this year, what with the Kills masks too, or is this asking for too much?
I’m really hoping for a Kills flashback 1978 mask; from the set photos alone, it looks like it is a better sculpt than any recent 78 mask from TOTS so far.
Obviously they will have exclusive first license to that movie as well as the molds to cast from.
The catalog was already released a few weeks ago, and no RZ masks this year. Must of been pushed back. If you go on there actual website, the “download catalog” option is right under the main title at the top. It will take you to the current 2020 catalog.
As far as Kills, they do have new products coming for it, but it’s going to remain hidden until Universal gives them the OK to release the details and ability to preorder.
In the catalog, they’re recontinuing the Hospital mask in the form of the H4 cover mask, along with the new H4 knife. They also have new products from Halloween Kills currently in production, but we can’t see those yet until Universal gives them the go to, like Lawson said above me.
Its actually just the H2 Hospital mask reworked in the same way they reworked the Elrod into the H1 Boogeyman. Its Justin’s maniac sculpt, so it will most likely look familiar.
With that said, I am definitely picking one of these up, as I was pretty happy with how the Boogeyman turned out. I do have the original Elrod and Hospital masks, but the hair is horrendous on those, where as the hair on these new reworked versions is light years better.
While the paint work isn’t anything to write home about on these reworked versions, it’s still a much better attempt than what the Elrod and Hospital were. I dig it, and will definitely get one.
Since it’s already a mask they make, these shouldn’t take too long from the pre-order date to be shipped out, probably like two or three months tops. The Boogeyman was shipped out around two or so months after the pre-order for that one. You figure they are just changing the hair and the paint, maybe a thinner pull as well, so it shouldn’t take too long for these to get moving.
Exactly, TOTS has always done their main winter catalogue that always gets the attention, and then a second, supplementary catalogue that reveals some other stuff they have in the works that weren’t ready to be revealed in their Winter catalogue. I recall a bunch of stuff from their 2019 line up coming out in the second release.
I posted that response before Zephro confirmed they were still coming.
And I am aware they sometimes do a small batch of items later down the line, but it’s not every year. Yes, the last couple of years they have, but it’s not really a gauge to go by until Zephro confirms things.
