Went to Monster Mania Con 43 in Cherry Hill, NJ this past weekend and met a lot of cool celebrities, made a lot of new friends, and picked up a ton of awesome merchandise. Some of the highlights were definitely these two moments:
Something we’ve all wanted to see for years. Michael Myers Vs Jason Voorhees. Staring down Kane Hodder in his Jason costume while I was dressed as Michael was definitely an incredible moment. Didn’t realize I was nearly as tall as Kane. He’s 6’4’’ and I’m 5’11’’ but it doesn’t look like I’m shorter in this photo.
I met Danielle Harris 15 years prior to this picture but I was an awkward 16 year old kid and didn’t really say much to her. She autographed a normal still shot of hers, smiled, and I said goodbye. We didn’t really get to talk at all. This was definitely a great opportunity to not only get a Michael and Jamie styled photo with her but also to tell her how big of a Halloween fan I am and of hers. She was very cool and is such a nice person. Definitely great to have a second chance to meet her.
From a fire stunt he did, he got ignited, but it started to go wrong, he had to run and try to stop it, but it didn’t help, eventually got put out and was in severe pain
Awesome pics, but Kane is not 6’4. I’ve met him a few times and even hung out with him in the bar at Texas Frightmare. Kane is about 6’0 and also wears boots with lifts.
There’s no way Kane is 6’4", I was his size before I hit my post- high school growth spurt and that was in like '96-'98. With all his stunt work as well as his age he’s likely shrunk (that stuff is bad for your knees and spine no matter how careful you are), but I’d bet on him being maybe 6’2" when he was at his tallest. Compare him in the part VIII diner scene with Ken Kirzinger who was 6’6" and looked it.
