Ok guys we all now know what kinds of materials we need for the hobo outfit. But I was wondering does anybody know how you should size them? My coveralls are 44 Tall and my normal shirt/jacket size is large but do I get them in my normal size of clothing or do I go a size bigger? Maybe you guys can help give me and others some advice on sizing. The reason I ask is because I have to order everything offline because we don’t have these kinds of stores in my area and I don’t want to return it.
Well let me know please and thanks guys.
what i did- is take into consideration your bodys frame WITH the coveralls on.
you will want the flannel, the wool jacket and camo with hood bit to fit comfortably over the coveralls.
im 5’8 and i got all my jackets and flannel shirt a size large- which normally would fit, I’d say- slightly to noticeably big with out coveralls on. well… i should say that IS how they fit me- a little big with no coveralls.
just make sure the layer process goes like this:
tear the lining out of the wool coat and the camo coat and the dickies- (or in the case of a sweat hoodie there will be no no lining of course). but you will want the liners out of all of them so your layers will fit better and you won’t balloon up with padded gear.
just take the size you would normally wear without any layers- (for me im 5’8 and would wear med size jackets and such, normally) and just go up a size.
i really don’t know that there is a science to this- but it is what made sence to me. and it is what i did.
i am in the process of constructing mine and i have everything. i just have to weather and dye the stuff.
so i will post some pics when im done. hopefully this helped a lil’
