I live in LaRue County which is extremely close to Hardin County as well as Smiths Grove Russellville and Warren County all of which always get me in the mood even more so for Halloween whenever I’m on I-65 and see the signs.

That’s awesome

Very cool indeed!:jack_o_lantern::maple_leaf:

I think Tommy Lee Wallace is from Kentucky. Apparently he pitched in with the locations. That’s awesome.

You are correct. Tommy Lee Wallace was born in Bowling Green Kentucky and of course John Carpenter moved to Bowling Green and went to WKU and of course his father taught music there. Nice to see that those influences made their way to such a great film that I think will be favorite a people’s for years to come. Ironically enough the Haddonfield Memorial hospital or hmh I always thought stood out from the second film because in Elizabethtown the hospital there is Hardin Memorial Hospital and I’ve seen that hmh 4 years lol

Now if only Haddonfield would of been in Kentucky that would taken the whole cake. Lol

I forgot about John Carpenter living in Kentucky too. That’s awesome! Of course that’s how him and TLW became friends. Cool backstory. Us in Virginia can at least claim Nancy Loomis. She’s a Virginia girl. :grinning:

I watched Halloween Kills in Warren County. About 2 miles from John’s childhood home. Drove through Smiths Grove to get there.

It still excites me even though I’ve been around here my whole life.

I live in KY as well! As a little child I used to get (and still do!) when I pass through or visit a location that influences something in the Halloween franchise! I was upset when Hardin Memorial Hospital changed their name and logo :rofl::rofl:

I went to WKU for a year. Always loved seeing John’s little cabin. I think it’s funny that he said “everything I learned about evil, I learned in Bowling Green”. Doesn’t seem like he’s a big fan of the area anymore. I read that he said he has no reason to return since his parents passed.
